Didn't think so.

James Westfall and Dr. Kenneth Noisewater.

You had to have looked that up, but anyway on Skipper: He looks like the real deal with his years in Oakland. He had the running game going good but with the injuries to McFadden and idk what MJD has been doing, he could have done better with 100 percent ready RB. That being said Im for sure the Jags take a RB this year in the draft and I hope its Gurley or Coleman from Indiana.

We just have to go find the talent for the position. I'd like to keep D-Rob and try to find another main back in the draft. it doesn't have to be a top pic in the first 3 rounds. But we do need to add some new blood in there and get to cutting.

Quote:It's like just about every other hire.  Everything in context.  His rankings in Oakland were all over the place, so hopefully with the right talent, he can be an effective coach.  We'll see soon enough.

One thing I do believe is that Robinson seemed to take a long time to develop, and I still don't think he's really where you want your feature back to be in the progression.  That's probably some of the reasoning behind this coaching change since a guy with DRob's athletic ability should be further along than he is.  There were times last year where he looked the part, and others where he didn't.
I disagree with this, how long did you expect Robinson to take before he looks like a featured back.  I thought he did a great job with D Rob.  When D Rob was put in the starting lineup he was one of the best backs in the league with poor oline play.  I never thought he would be as good as he looked last year.  He did a great job with D Rob IMO

Does anyone know anything about this guy? I had never heard of him.

The only thing I don't like about the assistant coach changes is none of them are for special teams. By the end of the regular season I thought Mike Mallory was the worst, not an offensive coach.

I hope this change is an upgrade.

The Patriots wanted this guy so we had to lock him up before the Super Bowl. I heard Chip Kelly wanted this guy as well.

Why do we keep hiring offensive assistants from the only offense worse than ours last year?

The name sounded familiar and I confirmed my hunch.   Kelly Skipper is the son of long time NFL RB Coach Jim Skipper.

Also,  Kelly's brother Tim is the new RB Coach of the Florida Gators.

As others have noted in the Greg Olson threads, he is a good quarterback developer. Doug Marrone is obviously not from the NFL's worst offense, but a winning team that wanted him to stay.

I can't explain this hire because I had never even heard of Kelly Skipper.
