I'm sure if I really tried I could find something to offend me.  I choose not to.

As a diehard FSU fan, the only thing worse than Jameis' moronic behavior are the Seminole fans that defend him after every incident.

I am glad the Jaguars drafted their QB, so we don't have to worry about taking on this headache.
Respect to you Shack

Quote:I said it was inappropriate because of his past incidents.  I do think it was slightly overblown though.

I'd post the video of other kids doing it from youtube but it's not MB material.  If you work around kids, I'm sure it's as a mentor/coach/teacher and I doubt they'd say that around you.

1010 said he did it in a corner of the room with other athletes.  A couple of other students happened to be in there and reported it.  Pretty weak for them to do that if you ask me.

Some agree with that view:

I admit I will laugh at some off color humor in the right place.

You think where he did it was appropriate? As an ambassador, like it or not, of the school? You really are giving the guy a pass? Another one? Being enabled by those around him is one of the reasons why he's where he is right now.

College Football is one of those sports that are worshiped by too many.  Players and coaches achieve god-like status.  They can do no wrong in the eyes of their fans.  Even the NFL hasn't gone that far yet.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

No way I'm not giving him a pass.  The suspension is justified.  I just don't feel outraged by what he said.  His lack of growth/maturity...stunning.

Feeling outraged or not is not ever what I was stating. It was the defending of it because that is what kids are doing now a days. That's such a poor excuse.

Eh....I agree to a certain extent.  I just remember how me and my buddies used to get when we were that age.  He's just held (appropriately) to a higher standard because he's the QB of the team.  Unfortunately he doesn't seem to get that.

Lol, and some people will say the dumbest things just to win an arguement here.

I'm willing to bet that 95% of the people posting here were not offended by what he said...that doesn't make it right. You just dont do the kinds of things he has done and be a popular athlete in the public eye.

If Jameis was accused of what he was accured of last year at this point in the season, he would be done for the year. He just needs to learn a lesson and chill out for a bit.

I think Jimbo needs to get a spine and show he's in control of his own program, and kick the guy off the team.   Just say, enough is enough.  Everyone would respect him for that.

They've got their championship.  Why not be a man, and just suspend the guy for good?  He's a continuing disgrace to the University.

Personally, I wouldn't want Winston within a thousand miles of any team I was rooting for.   I can't stand that guy.

But you and your buddies weren't the Face of FSU and one of the most recognizable names in college sports. I really don't think people would be upset if this was the first occurrence. It's not necessarily this one event people are up in arms about. It's all the things he has done up to this point.

Winston's legendary status at FSU will increase if the Noles are down at half and he comes in to lead the comeback. He will have "overcome adversity". His punishment won't look like a punishment at all. That's the downside of not having a full game suspension.

NCAA

No

Credible

Accountability

At all

They're not going to punish players who play well any more than they have to.  Not just Jameis Winston.  But pretty much all college players.  I'm surprised they didn't suspend him for just the first quarter, or the opening drive to be honest.

That is why I think he should have gotten a full game

LOL, did you read that trash article First Coast News posted on Facebook? A legit news agency basically posted an article saying this exact same thing. Pure speculation, but they are reporting it as fact. It was the most biased thing I've ever read.

I'm pretty sure Badger wrote this. lol

Good article.

Seriously, I'd rather go 0-12 than have to root for Jameis Winston.  There's something about him that I really dislike.

What I think was bad about it, is that he is already under the microscope for sexual assault, they have that case itself under investigation.

And now he's yelling something like that... Combined with the rape case, it paints a picture that doesn't look good for jameis at all.

I heard a few women saying in interviews that after knowing of the rape incident and then hearing that, they're more inclined to believe that he has no respect for women and is something they would now put past jameis.

Honestly, I kind of agree with them. I think jameis is a bit off, and I think he probably is dangerous.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
