Rodgers is older, but an unreal talent so maybe.  The other 2?  No freakin way, not to supplant a possible star QB, the position is just waaay too important.

What good is Johnson without a QB? And JJ won a lot of games for Houston last year.
Huh

Exactly.  Look what happened to the Colts when Peyton got hurt.  Then when they picked up Luck.  QB is huge.

Megatron is an all time great. 6-5 230. i believe that Chad can get the ball to him. just put it in his vicinity and you're golden

I'd rather Bortles.  No question.

Chad isn't getting us a superbowl, i don't care who he's throwing to.

Wilson is in fact better than Luck. Not receiving due credit, because Legion of Boom. If I had to trade Bortles for anyone, it'd be Wilson. After what we've seen though, we're declining any offer and riding with Bortles

No one is a bigger Megatron fan than I am.   Yet,  I can't even imagine the Jaguars making the trade if the Lions didn't already have Matthew Stafford in place and the Lions made the offer.   Calvin Johnson turns 29 next month.    The age difference alone would prevent the Jaguars from even considering the trade.   Calvin Johnson is what the Lions need.  Blake Bortles is what the Jaguars need.

Probably only Aaron Rodgers.

Agreed. Be an interesting year to see if he elevates his game.

Just remember you carry with them shorter shelf life. That's a big deal.

Funny how almost this whole board has 180'd on Bortles the way he was talked about months before the draft. Dude only gave UCF only two of their most successful football years in their history. On top of that was a MVP of a BCS Bowl win. Putting on like that should've been a foreshadow to a potential winning career in the league. I have no doubt he will be a top 5 qb in a few years.

come on people.  I like blake as much as everyone else but to say after 4 preseason games he is as good or better than luck?  I have to question your football knowledge.  luck is a top 5 qb in his 3rd year.  hopefully blake will be there soon.  but I would take luck right now anyday.  and maybe throw in a draft pick or two.

Luck is not a top five QB. Luck is upper half, maybe cracking the top ten. I think he's a good player, but he's not (yet?) in the same discussion as Brees, Manning, Brady... Keep Bortles.

Bortles has shown superstar potential, Luck has shown potential to be a good QB and this with far more weapons than Bortles has had

Megatron is a special talent, no doubt.  Same for JJ Watt.  But franchise QB's are too rare to trade for either of them.  Henne might can get the ball to Megatron -- but Matt Stafford hasn't had much luck as far as getting deep into the playoffs.

Either you have a plethora of talent on defense, or a franchise QB to get deep into the playoffs.  Having both is preferable.  But just one Defensive Player or one Amazing WR (especially considering we have good talent at WR now)  isn't going to help much.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
