You are correct, they are not the same tier group. But I know who I want for a HC this team this year and it ain't Andy Reid.

Six pro-bowlers, for example.   They went 2-14 in 2012 and had six guys elected to the pro bowl.  So Reid definitely had a much better roster to work with than Gus had.

If any team in the AFC South is going to be this years "KC"...IMO it is Houston...I think they are way more talented than their record last year...

People always say that x position s a big piece of the puzzle. I disagree. As an avid chess player I would make this comparison.


QBs are queens... you can win without one but the rest of your game had better be perfect.

WR/DB are bishops for their ability to launch a long range strike. Not critical for victory but important.

RB/LB are knights for their ability to lull the opposition to sleep then sneak a big strike in.

TE/S are your rooks for their utility in both close and long range (run and pass).

Linemen are your pawns, they rarely score but ask any chess player to win without them and they'll say no way. Possibly the most critical piece.

Special teams are your king, useful in some spots but you can't rely on only them.


Just my two cents, I think it fits better than a puzzle analogy.
