Damian Copeland Was A Big Steal at WR

Quote:The pro day had nothing to do with Teddy's fall. Maybe he was never as good as some of you made him out to be. Just by looking at the results of the draft its obvious how teams felt. Teddy and the hype that followed was a media creation.

Another Geno Smith.

And just last last year you fell for it.

Again.

You are so clueless.

If you were basing him off his game tape alone he would have went over RG3 in 2012.

Quote:so obvious that he was the 3rd qb off the board and last pick in the 1st round. 32nd pick = GOAT
Alex Smith also went before Aaron Rodgers

Do you even watch the draft? Teams make mistakes all the time.

Aaron Murray didn't show anything on tape to make him look better than Teddy. Teddy had the best game footage by far of any of the QBs and it's not even funny.

3 things

1, Teams paid too much attention to his awful pro day

2. Most players in this years 1st round could have went in 2012s top 10, it was loaded.

3. Bridgewater is a much better QB than RGKnee

Copeland will compete for the 5/6th receiver spot.  Last year he definitely would have made the team, I' say he has a shot this year.

False... Teddy hasn't even taken an NFL snap yet man. RG3 atleast led them to the playoffs in his rookie year.

So by definition of an NFL QB.... Griffin > Teddy

You are so butthurt at the fact that your God fell one pick from falling out of the first round.

Bridgewater isn't close to RG3.

these are professional NFL teams youre talking about. there is no way that these guys saw a bad pro day after months and months of evaluation and are like.... "you know what, he stinks." the pro day could have had a small fraction of influence on their decision. thats it though.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I don't think teams paid too much attention to the pro day. I think the truth here is the media built Bridgewater up similarly to what they did last year with Geno Smith, then needed an excuse for why he was suddenly "sliding" on draft boards.  If not for Minnesota saving their oats, they would have had another Geno moment in the draft with Bridgewater.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:Lets see Teddy take one hit from Clowney...

Bridgewater plays a similar style to guys like Brees, Manning, and Brady. Drew Brees has practically started every game since he became a starter. Same with Tom Brady with the exception of one big injury that caused him to miss nearly a season. Same with Peyton Manning, who only got shelved late in his career with the neck injury. Brady is in his 15th season, Manning his 17th, and Brees his 14th season.

One of the biggest praise I hear from people is that Bortles plays like Ben Roethlisberger: He's big, he's mobile, and he stands tall and takes a hit while delivering a pass.

Roethlisberger has had seasons where he missed 4, 4, and 3 games...while being banged up in a lot more. He's just in his 11th season.

Another "big, strong, and mobile" quarterback is David Garrard...who dealt with injuries (and missed games, giving way to starts to Quinn Gray). He had back problems that ended his career far to short, regardless of how you feel about his ability as a quarterback.

Need another example of a "big, strong, and mobile" quarterback? Steve McNair. Despite barely playing his first 2 seasons, McNair was done after year 13. He had seasons missing 5 games, 2 games, 8 games, 2 games, and 10 games (though this last one was towards the end of his career...at age 34...albeit still at an age where Manning, and Brees are still going strong).

Yes..."big, strong, and mobile" guys can take a hit. But as these notable "big, strong, and mobile" guys have shown...they are also the type to take more of pounding than the "smaller, weaker, pocket passers"

So.... you don't think Teddy would die from a blind side hit from Clowney? lol

This is just so crazy that we still have people defending Teddy when the draft is over and he is a Viking....

Most quarterbacks will get hurt by a blind-side hit by a big and powerful end like Clowney.

Will he "die" from it? That's laughable.

But you do that while you ignore the facts that I laid out....big, strong, and mobile quarterbacks that takes hit get hurt more often, misses more games, and have shorter careers than these smaller quarterbacks that doesn't take as much of a pounding.
