Bad tanking.... again

Quote:Am I happy our team won? You bet! I think or maybe its hope that someway, somehow, we'll still get the players we desperately need to improve to a consistent winning playoff team.....

That said....ain;t no one gonna convince me that the Texans aren't tanking for that first pick. That last couple drives were ridiculous.....Schaub had the WR open on the route on 4th down.....

and on the play that was the game winning INT, Schaub literally threw it right at our defender.

The Colts tanked in 2011 and the Texans are tanking this year.

But I don't care as long as we still get the right players to make us consistent winners anyway.....

Players WON'T tank......coaches could if pressured from above tho

Quote:did u see that pass?!?!?!?!? I mean, only the JAGUAR was "wide open",,,,,

The Texans are tanking, just like the Colts.

But again, as said, I won't care as long as we still end up as consistent winners.

He thought Hayes would bite on the hitch route. It was a bad instinct by a mediocre QB. It was not, however, an intentional blunder that would knowingly end his days asa starting QB following this season. To suggest that is moronic.

LOL.  so many keep saying some version of this.  One week it's Schaub sucking just so he can lose his job intentionally. The next week it's Keenum doing the same. LOL.

Tonight, apparently both of them conspired to kiss their jobs good-bye in the same contest. It's so stupid to consider - I can't believe people actually consider it possible.  It's the tinhorn QBs that have singlehandedly lost most of their games - and there is no way they did so intentionally.

Quote:We are Seattle 2.0. They got their franchise QB in the 3rd round. They are the first team to clinch a playoff spot this year. Boom.

I doubt we find a QB in round 3. How often does that happen?

I agree they are not tanking but they have definitely played their way into not only the top pick but the best QB in the draft.

If the Jags win next week, they are winning out.

Maybe.  But - damn  - if that's what it takes....  I want no part of it.

The funny thing is the Texans fans on their message board don't seem too excited about picking first overall. They aren't sold on Teddy at all.

Oh I'm not saying it will. I think we're a lock to take the QB in the first. Just saying that the top pick isn't the only way to get your guy.

Maybe we'll find out that their selection isn't Teddy. I don't know. We've all been so wrong on drafts including the so called experts.

If they were tanking why even try to comeback once you are down 17 - 7 or 24 - 10?  Seems pointless to me.

At this point in time, I'm more proud they have won 4 of 5 than my concern is for being unable to get the players we need due to the lower draft pick. Good things tend to happen to teams that win, so I think/ hope we'll be alright in the end.

I used to care a lot about the 1st overall pick. But, If Gus can win with an incompetent player at quarterback, I can't WAIT to see what we can do with a somewhat competent QB.

I'm done with this idea of tanking, creating a new culture is important. These last 4 years I've felt the team was not going in the right direction. Now, I can honestly say and feel that we are in good hands.

Yeah......Henne was 12-27 tonight and pretty much couldn't do squat.......and they still won. Good sign.

Says the guy who thought Geno was the best QB in the last draft. He might be the third.

You so called experts should really leave talent evaluation up to people that actually know how to do it.
