I'll go ahead and say it....this team is elite (projected starters)
|
This team has a ton of elite POTENTIAL, but simply cannot be called elite until they've proved they can consistently perform at that level. I am 100% behind this draft, and I do firmly believe this team will become elite - but it's not there yet. I would caution everyone to remain optimistic but reasonable. Rome wasn't built in a day, and we won't be either - but we're damn sure putting good work in. I am expecting 8-8 or 9-7 this year. Next year, I think, once these new guys have some experience is when we can probably start expecting elite.
That said, if Bortles can put out the same performance as 2015 with half the interceptions, I believe we may be even closer than that. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Yes, elite. Lol who cares? Green Bay has an actual head coach. Sure the Jags have athletes but look at the Patriots. They have slow white WRs yet have the best coach in the NFL. Jags need a real head coach. Hopefully Gruden sees the future here

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
It's finally becoming an exciting roster, but you used the wrong word to describe it. Caldwell has done a great job of building this roster to this point. I want to see us start winning the LOS on both sides of the ball. If this happens, then yes, this team will take off with the talent we have at yhe offensive and defensive skill positions.

This team is going to surprise a lot of people come week 1.
Not only will they be competitive against the Packers, they should win that game. That will set the tone for this young and talented squad.
Quote:This team is going to surprise a lot of people come week 1. Yeah I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if we are favored in Vegas. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Great first test for this revamped defense. Absolutely. I love it! Why does week 1 have to be so far away?
I don't think we will sneak up on anybody this year.
Fans from all over the United States are giving us crazy props. The days of grabbing a football pool sheet and circling whatever team we play that week are over. The days of picking up a ps4 controller and picking the Patriots instead of the Jags are done. The days of picking whatever QB we face that week in Fantasy football is done. The days of buying a recycled Jaguar ticket off Craigslist for 30 bucks is soon to be over bc that stadium will be filled to the gills. The days of those seats in the middle of the field being completely empty are soon to be done. Jags gear is about to start flying off the shelf instead of wearing that worm out Boselli or Mathis jersey. The days of turning espn on to watch your jaguars highlights, only to just see the score and Tom Jackson and Boom roll to a commercial are over. We will be favored in many games this year. We will have at least 2 Monday night games next season instead of the ho hum Thursday night Titans game. In before someone says, take another shot of Kool aid or for me to calm down. It ain't happening. I've been a fan since day 1 and I've watched Derrick Harvey, Leftwich, Gabbert, Garrard, Porter, Douglas, and the rest of them ruin my team and now I DESERVE TO BE SLOBBERING AT THE MOUTH, AND THIRSTING FOR SOME WINS. The days of people smoking me at work for being a Jag fan are over. Playoffs baby! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I got my Jags gear on right now.
Btw, I went to the avenues mall and it will be 60 days after Jack and Ramsey sign before their Jerseys hit the racks. I asked if Fowler has a jersey and they said there has been talk but after losing 60k dollars on his jersey last year they are holding out until he hits the field. I said....you probably better make sure you have all 3 ready. Quote:I don't think we will sneak up on anybody this year. This is epic! So true on so many levels bro...good stuff!

Quote:Lol who cares? Green Bay has an actual head coach. Sure the Jags have athletes but look at the Patriots. They have slow white WRs yet have the best coach in the NFL. Jags need a real head coach. Hopefully Gruden sees the future here A huge part of being a head coach is getting players to buy in to your philosophy, and Bradley has done that better than most. He and Caldwell have made Jacksonville a place where high end players want to come to, instead of one of the last places any of them would even consider. That's what a good head coach gives you. If you think Bradley isn't integral in the process of making the Jaguars the hottest team in the NFL you must be dull. He's been the head coach throughout this entire rebuilding process, last year's offense was one of the best offenses the Jags have ever put on the field. And let's not forget that if you talk to anyone involved in football they will tell you that Bradley is a defensive genius. So give him some talent on that side of the ball and see what he does with it before making judgements. "Slow" white receivers... And arguably the best quarterback of all time. What an idiotic comparison.
I just have one thing to say "SUPERBOWL"
