I figured out who Bortles reminds me of.

Quote:Umm at this point Garrard is the better QB. He could actually win games. Maybe he'll get better, but with Gus still here...my magical 8 ball says don't count on it

Garrard played on good teams and wasn't asked to do anything whereas Blake has to do everything for this offense.

Quote:Down 10 with 7 minutes left. Had them right where we wanted them!

Oh so he's not supposed to be able to lead a comeback? But I thought he was something awesome. Is he or not? Can't take both sides.

Quote:This is bull! You are wrong. He threw a pick six when we could've score and taken control of the game again. Don't be this obtuse. You guys are being stubborn tell the truth. He choked when he could've responded. I said it in the game thread here's his chance to respond and lead. Then boom! Pick six.
You are correct Sir. He gave up potentially 14 points on those two Int. Only the last one was when the game was over. He had a terrible game. Watt had ZERO sacks, the Oline did their job. He had Thomas, he had Hurns, He had his receivers. Now we should have run more probably, that's coaching, but when Blake was asked to perform he was missing guys all over the place, his stats reflect a lot of garbage time yardage.

Blake sucked today, it's Ok to say it.

Maybe next time.

How many games has Garrard won?

4200 yards 34 touchdowns 16 picks are current pace, any of the Bortles haters want to share their opinions on how that would not be a good sophomore year?

Nice, TC found a friend. You saw none of this game if you're really praising the offensive line.

I'm not saying Bortles is bad or won't be good, however, Garrard is currently much better than Bortles. Fact.

Didn't the staff say we were going to beat teams running the ball?  I guess when when you can only pick up one yard per rush you have to throw the ball 60 times a game.   When was the last time we ran the ball and picked up a first down (besides Blake)?

It isn't about Bortle "haters". I like him, he is our QB for now and the future.

He also had a horrible game and no legitimate excuses, unless you have his poster in your room.

I saw the whole game, He had lots of time on most plays, TOO MUCH TIME on some plays as he held it too long.

How many sacks did the Texans have?  He wasn't running for his life every play until late in the game when we had no choice but to pass.

He had plenty of time most of the game,  and the Oline did their job pretty well.

I imagine Blake would say the same thing, his line held up well, he had a bad game and it would be the truth.

If Bortles kombat were a real character his fatality would be the scorpion thing except the victim intercepts it and throws it back and you end up dying

David was not Mark, he had one good year.18/3 ratio is insane, but seems like the lack of a true superstar qb the last several years have people creating legends out of average quarterbacks.

Garrard never throw it down the field that much

He reminds me of a young Brett Favre

Where did I say he was something awesome? I said that right now he's better than Garrard ever was.

Blake had the team in the lead by 4 points heading into the 4th quarter. Then the defense decided to give up 2 TDs to Hopkins and put the team down 10 points. Our win probability at that point was <10% and most likely was <5%.

Were we, or were we not down 10 when the pick 6 happened?

Come one dude...  Don't make this the stupidest thing you've said today...

Oh wait, you also said that BB5 was responsible for a holding penalty on Cann who was beaten trying to block Watt!!

Quote:I remember Garrard Matching Tom Brady almost Point for point in a game. I don't think Bortles is there yet. I know he is not.
And Garrard was in like his 8th year

Bortles is a young up and coming QB, you cant expect him to be perfect

And Garrard had a legit defense and OL on that team. Come on, people. Get serious. QB play cannot be evaluated in a vacuum.
