This is crazy that the debate is being handled like this. No audience, no media in the building, ability to cut mics, delayed before transmission so only live in the building.

The mic stuff is stupid but CNN can now mute and cut away to Biden or the moderators any time they don't like what Trump is saying. The delay will give them the ability to hide anything they want. The mic mute doesn't stop Trump from talking and affecting Biden, so it only is done for TV.

There is really no way to prove what we see actually happened. The conspiracy side will have a field day with this. With all the AI and VR stuff, CNN could switch to that or even have prerecorded Biden answers from his week of practice. It would be Trump's word vs the media if Trump says anything was different than what was aired.

Haven’t followed the race too much of late but just saw some of the polls and it seems to me Trump may win this in a landslide. Every swing state Biden has to win he’s losing in and some of them by a huge margin. He’s not even winning in Virginia or Minnesota.

I guess if you’re Trump, you almost have to play it safe tonight. Just compare records. Make the debate about inflation and immigration and don’t take the bait from Biden who will try to make unhinged.

It all depends on the amount of ballots. I didn't say voters but ballots. The voter rolls are being somewhat cleaned up in some states. In most states the rolls have up to 2 or 3 times the actual number of people. They are filled with people who don't exist or don't live where they are registered. All those ballots still get "mailed" out and easily are returned. All the illegals are being registered and there is no way to stop it once they are on the roll even if they don't vote, a ballot will be mailed. For real people, if you don't vote, you could even still have your ballot reprinted and sent in for you.

As much cheating there is during the counting and switching of votes, the bigger cheating is registering enough people to be able to generate as many ballots as you need to win.

Without cheating, Biden probably doesn't reach 40%. People aren't going to go vote for him, they will go to vote against Trump. There aren't enough people too upset at Trump and a lot more people are going to vote for Trump while holding their nose because they saw what the economy was like.

Most likely Biden is going to be jacked up on something.  I expect his argument(s) to be along the lines of "January 6th!, my opponent is a convicted felon!".  Essentially no vision for the future and nothing that he can "brag" about from the last 4 years.  Maybe bring up the false narrative of how many "jobs" that he supposedly created.

I hope that Trump stays composed and talks about the border, the economy and the state of the world as it relates to foreign policy.  He needs to refrain as much as he can from the "fake media" thing as well as not point out how weak and incompetent Biden is.  The latter point is pretty obvious to anyone that has a functioning brain.

We won't know. There is a delay and rumors say 1-2 minutes. CNN responded by saying the debate starts at 9PM, that doesn’t mean they don't start the recording early. They can cut whole responses with the commercial breaks if needed and no one would know.

They should put a timer next to each candidate that visible. Have split screen view with each candidate and moderators that is not changed. Then you can automatically mute the mics.

For the conspiracy side, Biden has known which side he will be on before he disappeared to prepare. They built a stage to prepare him. We have no pictures or videos of him on the stage or since he left. CNN could have built a duplicate stage and then prerecorded all the answers. Then CNN just plays the answer when switching cameras and Trump listens to him have issues. It's then Trump's word vs Biden and MSM.

In the past everyone would say that is crazy but now it is certainly possible.

I suppose a 2 minute broadcast delay could allow them to pull off something like that once, but after that both candidates would be wise to it.  So if you believe they're trying to do any substantial alterations of what's broadcast, both candidates would have to be in on it.

Now that the debate is ready to start, I've lost interest. I have no interest in watching two people snipe at each other for an hour. I'll see the highlights later. Although, it would be worth a watch to see Donald Trump act civil around Joe Biden. Hopefully.
