Gotta Give It To Jameis' Legal Team

The lawyer is what makes the difference here, not football considerations.
You really believe the average FSU student or student at many schools would get the same treatment???? There is no way I will ever believe that is true

Convenient timing to say the least. Does the school think they are fooling anyone?

Do you think if this same lawyer was working for a kid with a trust fund no one had heard of in the same situation the results would be any different?

I'm not saying this is typical of the normal student. Jameis got a good lawyer because of his future in football. If anyone else got the same lawyer however, they'd get largely the same results. As Bchbunnie herself said,

Yes I said that...but do you think that if he had been poor the results wouldn't have been exactly the same? I'm not taking a shot at Fsu either, at any school in the same circumstances, with another shot at a national title, the same thing would have happened...rich or poor student, if that student was the star qb. To pretend that it's not because of football is being really disingenuous on your part.

Yes its very typical for these types of legal issues to be pushed back. Nothing to really say here. Its the legal system we have today.

It's only disingenuous if I don't believe it. If I'm just crazy and wrong it's deluded. And I do believe what I'm saying.

Or if you have your garnet and gold glasses on. This isn't a legal issue. It's a school hearing.

They refuse to admit to anything even slightly negative about their school and it just makes them look incredibly silly.

No where near. There'd be no media coverage, no irrelevant discipline about some SU incident, some community service for the the crab thing, certainly no repeated investigations of the sex charges. No ordinary student anywhere would have to deal with all that crap.

What repeated investigations of sex charges? There has been only one investigation of him for that. This hearing is about the schools code of conduct, no?

. . . involving lawyers on both sides with potential effects for future civil and/or criminal litigation. It has become a legal issue.

Besides, it doesn't have to be someone rich and/or famous to be a legal issue in this type of hearing. The outcome affects the accused's educational and employment future and will show up on many kinds of background checks. It has legal level consequences even if it's not held to legal standards of procedure.

And that idiocy is about to come crashing down on its head, as it should:

These young men, wrongfully accused and then thrown to the institutional wolves that deprive them of their civil rights, have taken the appropriate steps to end this absurd, federally created, extra-legal system designed specifically to remove all protections afforded the accused. About damn time.
