Is Gurley worth a 1st round pick?

Waltefootball has us taking Gurley in the 1st so that means we need to stay clear

Say what you will about walterfootball, for a very small operation he does a great job of keeping track of team needs and general opinions on upcoming prospects.

Maybe someday I'll have that many people care one or the other about my opinion, but it hasn't happened yet.

Its hard to justify a RB in the first but I do like Gurley. Honestly if there was a stud Olineman though, i'd rather do that.

Eh, I dont like that comparison actually. Gurley seems to run heavier if that makes sense. Fred was so fast and light on his feet. Which was amazing for his size. Gurley is big and fast but isnt nearly as quick side to side as Fred. I think he runs harder than Fred though.

I think a better comparison for Todd Gurley would be Larry Johnson. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Taylor was a rare talent.
Hard to find a combination of speed and power like that. As for Gurley, I would really have a hard time taking a running back that early. Quote:Eh, I dont like that comparison actually. During the game against south carolina he was compared to Eddie George but was said Hurley was a little faster. I wish he is in a jags uniform next year. I actually wanted Carlos Hyde this year but we made sure to give our rookie qb some weapons he can target down field instead.
I don't want us to use a top 10 pick on him. I'd be fine with an early second or late first, but I can't spend that high of a pick on a RB unless he was like the second coming of Adrian Peterson (minus the current drama of course). I don't see that from Gurley. RBs have too short of a shelf-life to invest too much when you can get really productive ones in the 2nd-4th rounds. As of now, I'd much rather have a stud OLB, C/G, or FS with our first round pick.

Gurley in the first 10-12 picks? No thanks.. Trade back if we finish and get a top 5 pick, take Gurley in the mid early first round and then load up on linemen.
