Yannick was offered to be the third highest paid DE at the position to which he performed as third best w/respect to sack totals.

$19,000,000.00 per/year and he turned it down.

He turned it down because he wanted a longer deal. I feel of they offered him the same but gave him 5 years, he'd sign.

The deal will definitely get done. I have no idea where the money will come from, but it will get done. When it does, it will probably impact the Myles Jack deal though. Jack better temper his expectations, because Yannick is gonna get paid and so will Ramsey. There won't be much left after that and since Jack wasn't even on the list of top 100 NFL players for 2019, he's gonna be very disappointed.

It was that third Yannick tweet that didn't get posted that didn't look so great.

I understand trying to get as much money as you possibly can, but I'm not into the hold out thing especially for an early extention. He wants an extention, we know that, the Jags know that, and apparently they are working on it so why hold out? Everyone knows he is gonna get a big [BLEEP] contract so why not do what you are already under contract to be doing? I get it, he has out performed his rookie contract but the Jags dont even have to think about it for another year or so. Im all for paying him but all partys involved know he wants a new contract and they all know hes gonna get one so the hold out accomplishes nothing that wasnt already known

I don't even watch football anymore.

I've never in my life spent money on any merchandise from the NFL.

The only reason athletes get the money they do is because sad pathetic people want to watch them hurt eachother.

I second this notion.  You need to find your happy place, T.P.

Wasn't he the whole reason we dumped Fowler? Because he and Yannick were creating friction in the locker room? The organization seems to have offered something at fair market value and also did him a favor by trading Fowler.
No pain, no gain.

Fowler the was the reason we dumped Fowler.

Ngakoue's play made him more expendable.

No...

It's because Fowler was going to be a FA at the end of that season. The FO obviously had no intentions on resigning Fowler, so they traded him for more than they would have gotten for him if he had walked in FA.

They got 2 draft picks for Fowler in the trade, when they would have only gotten 1 (possibly none) if he walked.

Bryan Sexton stated on his radio show yesterday that he’s 90% sure a deal will NOT get done.
How is a disgruntled player cautiously guarding his health in a contract year going to play? I think YN is going to be a scratch this season, or close to it.

If a deal can not get done, for some reason, my next best hope is that some team offers the Jags a Khalil Mack type of trade. Josh Allen falling into the Jags lap in the draft gives the front office flexibility in this situation.

I think Sexton is wrong, as I do believe a deal, at some point, will get worked out.

While that is not good to hear, I hope this just another example of Sexton being tone deaf to the song going on around him.
He throws some wacky takes out there sometimes.

Same.
To be fair Sexton has been beating this drum since they drafted Josh Allen, saying they don't have to necessarily meet Yannick's demands, they can start playing the compensatory pick game like the Patriots and so on so maybe he's just still bringing his theory forward and not necessarily talking about what is really going on with the negotiations.
