At this point who cares? I know a lot of people here thought he would be good, but sometimes guys just don't have what it takes to play in the NFL. Shenault looks like that kind of guy to me.

His biggest problem seems to be that he doesn't do well picking up offensive scheme. If he were really good at that I'd say maybe he could gain a few pounds and become a tight end, but to me he looks like a guy whose cap is what we've seen so far, which is backup level player on a bad team.

If there's a game to miss, it's this one. I'm not so invested I need to scrutinize the third string. I would have liked to watch Lloyd, though. Just watched the last offensive series and Perry doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over Luton at this point. We need to get a legit backup.

CJ Bethard is our backup.
