This is funny. Jonathan Pie is a satirical news reporter character played by Tom Walker, who in reality holds a left of center political viewpoint. What makes his satire so penetrating is he pillories the left for being such mindless robots who refuse to accept, and actively shut down, opposing viewpoints because they believe their opinion is the only viable one. He ridicules his own side for its name-calling condescension and fundamental unwillingness to understand voters and issues outside of their protected orb.

Pardoning his son is a really bad thing to do, but, how does a man let his son go to prison if he can prevent it?  Yes, it's a corrupt thing to do, but there are no consequences for it. 

I don't like it.  Biden is a liar and a hypocrite.  But if I put myself in his shoes, I could do a corrupt thing too, especially if there are no consequences.

And no, I am not excusing it.

It seems like every President gets to the end of his term and does a bunch of last minute pardons for people who do not deserve to be pardoned.

There's an assumption in that sentence that there are people in prison who were put there for political reasons.  I don't see it that way.  But I do see a bunch of people in prison, criminals, who are about to be pardoned for political reasons.  No, I am not good with that.  

I would like to see some severe limitation on the pardoning power of the President.  Because every single President does a bunch of corrupt pardons at the end of his term.

First is it legal to pardon someone for crimes they have not been charged for?

How many others will be pardoned in his family.

Joe did not pardon anyone it was Jill.

A President can only pardon people for federal crimes. This does not cover State crimes.
