Dan Arnold

He is the best TE on the team. His athleticism at his size and speed makes him a match up problem for the opponent and a security blanket for Trevor.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

To be fair, it doesn't take much to be the best TE on this team lol, but I have been pleased with his play so far. Is refreshing to see a TE that can move a little out there.

Yep we should let the fumble homerism beget the fact that we finally have a TE who can be an athletic mismatch from time to time. I'm honestly not sure that this franchise has ever had that before (Julius Thomas FA vacation notwithstanding).

Zach miller is the only one i can think of but he was always hurt unfortunately.

Arnold looks like what we been lacking. And trevor looked his way today 8 times.

Giraffe had a big play in the packer game today. He was the last all a round TE.

? Kittle is as good of a blocker as Lewis was bud and 1000x better receiver.

That was a fumble. I hate the football move crap. That is 2 pathetic fumbles from our TEs. I would say coach them up but.... yeah not happening

disagree. It was the first confirmation of ref bias. Every single questionable call went against us.

The ball was never under control, even with feet coming down. the ball is knocked out as he is trying to bring it into his body.

no because when I watched everything up to that point I hadn't thought "catch".

The PI call early on Claybrooks was as bogus as they come. Terrible call.

Lawrence's over turned TD call was bad. Neither knee was down and the ball broke the plane. Should have stayed as called on the field. Terrible overrule.

The obvious no DPI call on Arnold was bad as well. Very clear PI and the ref had the best view in the house. He grabbed his flag and everything but bit his tongue.

@maybe snowy was right bout the fix bein in on the Jags@

that and in short time it appears he and Trevor are connecting. Good to see.

Arnold has had 60 + yards 3 of the last 4 games.

And all it cost us was Henderson plus we swapped a 5th for their 3rd. Credit to the FO for making this trade happen.

Agreed, pretty much a 5th for Arnold.  They told Car they wasn't trading them CJ unless they could get Arnold

Arnold has over 60 yards in 3 of the last 4 games and he hasn't been here long at all. If he averaged 60 yards a game for a season he would have over 1000 yards. He is looking like he will be our best receiving TE in Jags history if we can keep him and he can stay healthy. He looks to have Pro Bowl potential and him and Trev are really starting to build a chemistry

Arnold is already better than Lewis ever was.

Lewis was and still is on a higher tier than Arnold as a blocker.

The Jags are in a position where they don't have to ask Arnold to do a lot of heavy lifting as a blocker since they have 2 other TEs who block well enough and they are desperate for another receiving target.

Arnold appears to have more consistent receiving skill than Lewis, but your statement is still patently false in every way.

Lewis has recorded 3 seasons of 500+ yards of receiving and totaled 37 touchdowns in his career.
Arnold has recorded zero seasons over 500 yards (only 2 over 300) and 7 touchdowns.  (if his career were as long as Lewis' his TDs extrapolate to 28)

Arnold would have to surpass 700 yards receiving and 10 TDs this season to be "better than Lewis ever was."
And he certainly has not "already" done that.

So if he is indeed better than Lewis - there is absolutely zero statistical data to support that take.

I'm on record for saying Arnold is a top 3 TE in the NFL. Prove me wrong.

This is factoring in looks, production, and future contributions

What is such an obsession of having a TE with this fanbase?

Simple.

The team hasn't had a remarkable performance in receiving production from the TE position since 2010 and conversely has seen it's defense under 4 coaches get ripped to shreds by opposing TEs.
