Russian Crewmen Run Out of Fuel, Their Next Move Puts Them in Ukrainian Custody: Report

As the Russian juggernaut that was supposed to crush Ukraine in an effortless march of triumph sputters amid fierce resistance, anecdotal and sometimes unverified reports are emerging that Russia’s invaders are not living up to their billing.

The claim that there are so many neo-nazis in Ukraine that Russia had to act to protect Russians is absolutely bonkers. People have been allowed to leave Ukraine for Russia up until the war started. They could also go to the Donbass separatist areas, if they felt oppressed. Anyone who says otherwise is parroting Putin, parroting Russian propaganda.

Donbass is where they were being persecuted. There are videos of the nazis reportedly killing Russians. The nazis exist in Ukraine, I don't think it's rampant like Putin is saying but it is part of the problem. When you outlaw Russian, jail your political rival, it makes it appear that the government is full of them.

The reason is Ukraine isn't really free because of who their leaders are. They are controlled right now, so when Putin says I'm going to free them from that and his actions haven't gone against that so far, he isn't being evil in this situation. That could quickly change but hoping he sticks to what he is saying.

Hopefully they reach a peace agreement soon that sets Ukraine as a buffer zone and cleans up their corruption as much as possible. I just don't see the globalist letting it happen. I think they wanted Russia to carpet bomb them, kill civilians, pictures and videos everywhere so they could use it to drag the world into war with Russia. Putin hasn't played along so far.

From 2014 to 2021, unarmed civilians were free to enter or leave Donbass from Russia or Ukraine.  There was nothing like an SS forcing anyone to go places they didn't want to go.  You are clearly listening to people who lie to you.

Using old shots from the president. A woman from a gas explosion years ago now being claimed as a bombing victim. Videos showing small conflicts only. Snake island troops claimed to have died fighting are shown on video surrendering. Bombings happened but for the fact that this is a boots on the ground war, there is very little real footage.

Right now it is just really weird and if you aren't asking questions, you are probably someone who still believes all the covid lies. If Russia was going to openly wage war and occupy Ukraine, I doubt they leave the electricity, natural gas, and cell towers and internet up and running. Maybe some real footage will come out but right now it doesn't look like an open war is being fought.

Yes they could leave but you are telling people who generally do not leave and don't have money to pick up and go that they need to leave their homeland for generations.

You need to realize not everywhere is America.

Ukranian and Donbass people are willing to live through the suffering and fight for the little they have. I wish the invaders at the southern border would get some courage and fight to fix their own countries instead of running away.

There are two ways to interpret this.  One, as I've already said, maybe the Russians are playing nice because they believe the local civilians will cooperate as the Russian army takes over. There are reports saying that mayors and city council members in towns that have been taken over have been asked to stay in their posts.

Another interpretation is just that Ukrainian air defenses have just been that good.

But the interpretation that somehow this war is fake, that's just dumb.

Some fighter jets in Poland were re-marked with Ukrainian colors and are now flying over Ukraine with Ukrainian pilots. A couple other NATO countries may make similar donations of their old Russian hardware.

A UK 'alternative?' perspective of Putin and his motivation to move against Ukraine. This site actually has a few interesting articles about the conflict.

Tucker is an interesting case. The guy was on msnbc hosting his own show for like 3 or 4 years and then flipped to fox. Hes changed a lot?

His point was that Russia is theoretically a more important geopolitical ally. His point is also that had we not shut down our domestic oil capabilities or played footsie with nato expansion then we wouldn't be picking a side.

Things can change quickly, but as of now, this is a complete disaster for Putin and for Russia.  So far, the invasion has failed miserably, his army looks weak and incompetent, and a whole bunch of neighboring countries have pledged massive amounts of military and financial support to Ukraine.  Nato is united, and sanctions are about to cause an economic disaster in Russia.  Putin's threat of "I have nuclear weapons!" seems like the kind of move someone would make as a last resort.

As the sanctions hit the Russian economy, and the oligarchs who support Putin pay a very heavy price, one has to wonder, what is the end game for Putin?  Can he successfully extract himself, or will he be humiliated and overthrown?

Invading Ukraine was Putin's pet project, completely unnecessary.  The oligarchs as well as the general Russian population at some point will think, didn't we have a better life before this invasion?  This totally sucks, and what do we stand to gain?  Even if we manage to conquer Ukraine, what will we have then?  A hostile population and a never-ending insurgency.

This is an accurate article.  Putin has played the religion card hard and often, and the West doesn't report on it much.
But the article fails to mention that only about 40% of Russians identify as Russian Orthodox, and only about a 10% of Russians attend church regularly.
So, as sincere as Putin's beliefs might be, he's not really speaking for his people here.

My fear is that Putin will feel like a cornered animal and he will do something desperate and stupid. I keep reading reports that people around him are secretly saying he's becoming more and more unhinged and unreasonable. If this guy has suffered some sort of mental break or illness, will those around him have enough guts to overthrow him before he starts WW3? If you have an imperialist, power hungry leader who is no longer thinking rationally, maybe he has no endgame. Maybe his only endgame was his original plan to take over Ukraine and he hasn't even entertained any other options. How far is he willing to go to accomplish his goal, realistic or not? If he isn't thinking like the rest of the people on planet Earth, he could do virtually anything and someone needs to stop him. Will the Russians do that though?
