Toby Gerhart: I can be 'dominant' for Jaguars

The Jaguars might take Robinson or Matthews at #3 (which I think a lot of fans would be upset about) the oline could look like this

Robinson or Jake Matthews LT, Will Rackley LG, Mike Brewster C, RG Late draft pick or Zane, RT Luke Jockel

or Paztor RT and LT Luke if they go with Clowney, Mack or Sammy Watkins instead...

Either way the Middle Oline is questionable and Toby will have to be tough to get yards.

Charlie Casserly was on with Hicken/Prosser this morning, and he made reference of the fact that the Jags COULD go with Robinson or Matthews at 3.  It's not the glam pick most would want, but either would be a solid, safe choice.  I know I've mentioned Matthews previously at 3 in another thread, and while he's not the top of my list, I could certainly see the team take him.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I think Robinson might be a better fit at RT because he is just a big mauler.

Close to your predictions?

Gerhart  -- 133 yards rushing + 86 yards receiving = 219 total yards.

Mojo -- 56 yards rushing + 30 yards receiving = 86 total yards.

For those of you who have no idea when Toby made these remarks........it was right after the Jags signed him. He DID NOT say this recently or in the last day or so as some of you must "assume" based on your remarks. Back away from the expresso machine and relax.............it's an OLD statement!

Sure, it's an old statement but it's kind of funny how 90% of the fans thought he'd be successful and now 50% of the fans say they were right about the Horse.

No kidding ... Jinjo nailed it.

I called the Gerhart bust BUT I honestly thought D. Rob would never be able to run between the tackles.

He did get it right but based on Gerhart's time in Minn, that prediction is more "good guess" rather than reasoned prediction. The fact is, in limited work, he was very productive up there and has simply not looked like the same back for the Jags. I am not going to knock Caldwell for making that call.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

He said that but then he also said this...

Do they cancel each other out?

THE HORSE update:

vs Cowboys:  4 Carries for 2 Yards !!!

Season:  59 carries for 154 yards = 2.6 yards per attempt.

To reach Eric Dickerson's 2,105 single season rushing record, Horse would need 750 more carries over the next 6 games (assuming 2.6 YPA).

This signing and the GM and coaching staff's inability to see the potential of D. Robinson should scare the CRAP out of this fanbase and their hope for the future under this regime.

They did see Robinson's potential. It's why he was on the team to begin with. But last year he was a turnover machine. Standing pat with what they had on the roster would have been foolish. As it turns out, the Gerhart signing didn't work out and D-Rob put on 15 lbs and cleaned up his turnover issues. Pretty obvious in retrospect, not so obvious at the time. No GM will be be right every time. You could make the argument that maybe Shoelace should have been starting from the get go but once signed, they had to give Gerhart every opportunity to take the job and secondly, the OL was in flux at the beginning of the year. There's no way to know if he would have been as successful early as he's been lately.

This is hilarious. I shouldn't laugh that hard at one of my teams players.
