Quote:UF has 9 four star ([BAD WORD REMOVED]) recruits, including 5 on offense.

UF has a #22 ranking on Rivals simply because they only have 15 commits.  You need to look at the Avg Star Ranking in which they are #10 right behind FSU at #9.

UF will fill their slots but right now, they are not settling for anything less than the players they are highly targeting.

Teams like Maryland (Currently Ranked at #13) is a joke because they have 28 commits with an average of 3.11 stars.

UF has done pretty good under Mac considering they haven't had a QB

I agree with you.

OSU - Michigan - PSU - MSU

Talk about being a division of a Power Conference that is challenging !!!

That has to be the best "division" in the NCAA and it's only getting better.   Rutgers be like ..... "thanks Rutgers Prez for taking the $$ and getting us crushed every weekend"

Quote:Lol, funny you mention that because many people were thinking the big news today was going to be that the Dolphins owner (and Michigan alum) was going to open a Michigan mini campus for the team to come down and use. That ended up not being it.

Interesting .....  Harbaugh to the Dolphins in 2019

Most experts saying he chooses FSU.

Can't wait to watch him from Pussers on A1A in PVB --- they host the FSU games.

Dude's a freak !!

I believe Winger is accurate when he says that UF's recruiting hasn't been up to standards. They signed one player ranked in the top 100 composite ranking. This class isn't terrible, but they should be doing much better.

UCLA had a solid, yet unspectacular draft class. I would've preferred more focus on the problematic O-Line, but we did get some big time recruits, including the #1 OLB in the country, #4 CB, #6 DT, #24 OT, #7 TE and the #3 OC. All in all, a pretty good haul.

They are still #9 with 4 players in the Top 130.

The bottom line is you still have to coach all of the players up.  Muschamp was a top 5 recruit but sucks at being a head coach.  The only thing UF has been missing on a consistent basis is a QB and they would have had one if Will Grier didn't get suspended.

Personally speaking, I think any team that consistently finished in the top 15 in recruiting AND has a good coach can compete for the title.

I agree for the most part - but you have to close the gap between teams you're losing to (such as Alabama and FSU to some extent) some way... it won't be coaching because they are also well coached.

The 5 best players in the country? 2 to Bama, 3 to FSU.

They are number 10 with three players in the top 130 using the 247 composite ranking. That's not very good compared to the teams UF is going to play.

The number of recruits in the composite top 130..

Georgia 9.

LSU 8

FSU 8

The top seven teams hoarded the top recruits this year. There is a huge drop off after LSU. Florida could add the number one, two, three and four rated player and just edge LSU for number seven by one point.

Michigan landed the best WR class in the country and OSU landed the best DB class in the country. That should be fun to watch play out over the next few years.

Unless they meet FSU again.
