Ohio St.'s 2017 class is shaping up to be pretty insane. They already have 6 five stars.

The Bruins have a decent class coming in, but the area where they need the most help (O-Line), wasn't as productive as I'd hoped. They have a 4 star commit and a 3 star commit coming in at the OT positions, but the Center and OG spots are barren. They still have some offers out to guys who haven't chosen yet, so there is still hope though. On a brighter note, we did land the #1 OLB in the country, the #5 DT and the #7 TE.

UCLA has been the leader for Darnay Holmes but is on the verge of losing him to Ohio St. That would make it SEVEN five stars in this class. Nuts.

Urban Meyer has always been a great talent finder.

Yeah but this class might end up historically loaded.

How often do schools sign seven 5 star recruits?

I'm not sure if it's ever happened. And Ohio St. might end up with 8 or 9.

USC signed 6 in their 2007 class.

A class that only had 18 signees.

Would love to see UCLA have a top 10 team. I like to root for them

That's about what Ohio St. will be at. It will be a small class but still loaded with 5* and filled out with 4*.

There is still plenty of time to make it a big class.- especially if Ohio State loses in the semifinals.

Ol Urbs is the kind of shady recruiting tactics.  He'll be able to pull a few in those final days from schools by promising the world and saying who knows what to those kids.

No, it's an available scholarship situation. They aren't losing many players this year so they can't bring in a big class.

What are you calling shady recruiting tactics?

The sad part is with Urbs, he'll offer all these scholarships and accept all these kids, but if something better comes along he will have no problem telling one of these kids he needs to move on somewhere else, even if it is on signing day.

18 commitments on signing day and that extra 5 star decides to join the crew?  That lowly 4 star better hope he has a secondary offer with an available spot for him.

Oversigning was something the SEC started.
