Thurmond signs with the Giants on a one year deal. Count him out. Looks like the closer couldn't finish.

With his injury history, he probably had no lucrative offers. He might start in NY for a year and cash in if he plays well.

"Mariano Rivera" seems to be more like recent era Jon Papelbon Laughing

 

I was warming up to the possible Thurmond signing, but its not a huge loss, just as it wouldn't have been a huge impact had we signed him.

I like our current secondary, and think they will be fine with a better front 7.


Thurmond might have been an upgrade over Ball or Harris, but for the price I'm not so sure.
