Jags to the Pro Bowl
|
How many and who you got?
I want to say 3, but I think with the position he plays and the small market, Linder won't get fair recognition. I'll say Ramsey and Campbell, with many on the cusp. I hope a few of those players break out this year. Go Jags! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
If the Jaguars have a winning record they'll have a real chance to send six or seven guys.
Ramsey, Campbell, Bouye, Malik, ARob, Fournette, Linder, Bortles, maybe more. If they're a five or six won team with a lot of high performers they'll be lucky to send two. The pro bowl is largely about recognizing big market teams and winning teams. The Jaguars aren't a big market team so they'll either need to win a lot or have guys that lead the league at their position in high visibility stats like interceptions and TDs.
On a side note, if 4net makes it, which I think is possible, I think this team has a darn good chance to compete for the division.

I voted 3
Malik Jackson Ramsey TBD (i could see a lot of players being right there on the border line) (07-12-2017, 03:49 PM)Monty Wrote: Bortles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's play this out. brady goes to the super bowl ben wants to rest at home rivers needs to take care of his 7 klids mariota boycotts in support of hawaii derek carr breaks his leg again andrew luck pops his shoulder flacco gets caught up in the baltimore race riots dalton goes to depression counseling after losing another playoff game. ..... I think have have Bortles as the starter.
I keep wondering if Ngakoue might break out with like 18 sacks or something crazy. If he makes the Pro Bowl at DE, the Jaguars may be headed for a much better season than most of us are thinking.

I think if the Jaguars cut out most of their special teams gaffs, Bortles cuts 8 turnovers (say 3 less fumbles lost and 5 less INTS) and the running backs don't fumble it every 20 carries I think the Jaguars should not only win a lot more, but also appear to be much better on defense as the pressure on teams facing us starts to mount because they can't count on easy field position and scores any longer.
You guys are crazy. Even if we are lucky enough to have a winning record, at most we'll probably get 2. Fred Taylor got in by the skin of his teeth in our playoff run in 2007. My bet would be Ramsey and hopefully Fournette (big enough name, he'll have lots of exposure on espn and NFL n if he plays well).
It can go no higher than 3. I guess I should say 2, cause thats how many I think we will have: Ramsey and A-Rob if he bounces back. The other one I could see is Fournette if he dominates.
Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. No way I'd still be alive after all that choking.
Did we ever get a new Kicker? If not... nobodys going to the probowl.

Ramsey has a decent shot.
Then you've got a long list of long-shot guys that would need stars to align. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I think two is fair. Jalen Ramsey should be nearly a shoe in if he builds off of what he did in 2016. And I honestly think there will be a lot of eyes on Leonard Fournette this year. And honestly, there's not a ton of runners in the AFC that really jump out as automatic pro bowl players.
Outside of Le'Veon Bell and maybe DeMarco Murray. I could see Fournette really having a big rookie year. If he gets anything like 1200 - 1300 on the ground and comes close to or manages double digit TD's. He's in. Regardless of our record. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. 1. Ramsey.
Others will be worthy of the pro-bowl but won't get in simply because of who they play for.
I think Tackle Telvin has a chance. Myles Jack could get some talk bc he is going to be the fastest MLB in the league.
