Game day parking

#1

Hi,
I will be travelling to Jacksonville on 17/09/2017 to see the Jaguars at home to Tennessee. We will be travelling by car from Orlando and we were looking for some advice on game day parking.  Do we have to reserve a space at an official car park?
As we are travelling over from Scotland we want to make the most of our first NFL experience!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Sarah

You don't have to reserve a space. There are several lots near the stadium collecting cash as you enter the lot. ($20-$30 range)

I sometimes park in a covered parking garage adjacent to the baseball complex and Arena. I think they charged $25 or $30 last time I parked there.

It's the one labeled "Arena Parking Garage" on this map.

Park here. This is the best most exciting lot to tailgate in. Period. Rome around and mingle. Jags fans are quite polite and inviting, that is as long as your Jag fans. Just kidding you can root for those stinking tacks if you want . You can still party.

I recommend Fairgrounds Parking for the game. It's pretty clean and they have air conditioned restrooms with running water. They have music entertainment prior to the game and decent views of the stadium, baseball stadium, and arena. It's a little more expensive ($35) than the other parking areas but given the fact that you're coming in from Scotland, I'm sure an extra $10 is not going to matter. Another good thing about this area is that it doesn't get very muddy if it rains the night before.

+1 for the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, been tailgating there for 12 years now. I believe they open 4 hours prior to kickoff and I thought they charged $30 per vehicle.

You're travelling all the way from Scotland to come see a 1:00 pm home game in Jacksonville in September? You must be a glutton for punishment (prepare to get roasted).

I have a feeling your second trip to a Jags home game will take place in the months of November or December.

I've always parked at either Tailgaters or the Fairgrounds....both are $30 and are clean and friendly. Tailgaters also has a full service covered "Sports Bar" open before and after the game.

We went last September for the Ravens game.. we parked in the Tailgaters lot with some awesome people that I met through this very board! I'd recommend that place..

Also, load up on sun cream, you'll need it.. and if you're buying merchandise, go get it from Sportsmania in Jacksonville Beach rather than from the stadium. You'll save yourself a huge amount!
