Is Yeldon safe?

Ridiculous. Yeldon is a chronic fumbler who can't stay healthy and has a tendency to dance in the backfield when he's given a chance to carry anyway. If you need someone on third down to block and be a pass catching option line one of the TEs up as an H back.

Cutting him before you have a replacement could leave with with Chris Ivory as a third-down back. I'd rather play Ivory as a 3rd down back than Yeldon. I'd rather have anyone than Yeldon. In my eyes, he is completely useless. You say see if someone better hits waivers and I'm telling you someone better will hit waivers. It's inevitable, because Yeldon set the bar so low. If a guy has no role, like most of the guys we're cutting don't, then release them. If a guy is young, cheap, and the best on the team at a certain job, don't cut him until you've got an upgrade. If an upgrade presents itself this weekend, but all means cut Yeldon loose and get the guy. If not, don't kill your ox without finding a new way to plow the field.

I have this feeling that Yeldon is getting the Bortles treatment from DC, he is going to hold onto his top picks for as long as he can until he has exhausted every opportunity for them to show.

Not getting the QB blown up on 3rd and long and being able to catch the ball on drop off plays on a consistent basis offers nothing of value? Yall need to stop looking at where he was drafted and look at what he does bring to the team, Ivory and Grant are awful at blocking, we just dont know about Fournette yet since he is a rookie. Yeldon has a lot of value on this team

I hope you don't mean Jalen Ramsey, because if a GM wiffs on Joeckel, Bortles, Fowler, and then finally hits on his 4th top 5 pick - he should have been gone already. Dave Caldwell is a major reason why the Jaguars have more losses than other NFL team in the past 5 years. Time to cut ties and bring in someone better. IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Yeldon has a total of 2 fumbles in 27 games played, and one of those the offense got back.

Did you ever consider the fact that a good head coach would have made all three of those players better than they were with Gus Bradley? How about the fact that Dante Fowler was injured his entire rookie season? Dave Caldwell made big mistakes on those two, obviously, but I have no reason to doubt the coaches held them back. He's not "useless" in the run game as he'll often put up some impressive runs. He's not going to break out, but he's better than say Toby Gerhart. Useless as a RB would be a guy like Storm Johnson, and he's nowhere near as bad as Storm. Speaking of Gerhart, I keep thinking that Ivory is basically the same guy but ever-so-slightly better.

Yeldon is just a guy. His blocking is his greatest asset. We can find ways to compensate for that.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Nobody cares where he was drafted and from whom. He isn't worthy a roster spot, yet he still lingers on this roster, stealing a valuable spot. When do you think Yeldon will actually get on the field to show that world class blocking ability? I would have took Cook over Yeldon. I believe when Khan said that, he was actually quoting Wayne Weaver.
