Three for three this week. Went almost exactly like I expected it. Kind of scary, really.

On the one hand, the whole country’s focus is on Houston as it recovers from the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey. Citizens of Houston and all of the areas adversely impacted from the storm, know that the thoughts of the nation are with you. On the other hand, football fans will finally be sated, because regular season football is here. To butcher the axiom, everyone’s a contender before the first regular season game. So let’s take a look at the first week of the regular season in the AFC South. This week: 2-1. Glad I was wrong about the Jaguars and Texans. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

No, I didn't expect a 22 point win, but I expected the Jags to be able to manhandle the texans, and for the texans to be desperate at the end of the game and probably turn the ball over at least once. The Jaguars have talent, a lot of it, and they have had a lot of talent for a while now. It's only been absolutely substandard coaching that has kept them a good 4-5 wins per year short of where they should have been in 2015 and 2016.

Jags looked like the best team in the division today. I was wrong about the titans, although they could have won with some better coaching. Mularkey is nowhere near as good a coach as i was. Go Jags

3-0 this week. Didn't expect us to dominate like we did and didn't expect Indy to meet down that badly, but I'll take it!
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Colts just couldn't let us have the biggest blowout win of the week. Scrubs

1-2 for the week, 1-2 overall.
Not the start I wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised by our team today. A few more performances like that and I might actually feel good again about being a Jags fan. I almost feel sorry for the Colts....almost.

Jacksonville proved me wrong to the nth degree! It's a long season. But when you go on the road and soundly defeat the 2 time defending Division Champions, you have made a statement. 2-1.
