Jaguars.com - Monday update: Robinson sustains torn ACL

I am guessing Robinson wishes he took whatever contract the jags offered last summer now. For a guy who was never that fast and depends on leaping, not a real good deal. He needs to get prolotherapy from whoever did Adrian Peterson.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

It sucks to lose his ability to high-point the ball down the left side, but this loss can be overcome with a little shuffling of the playbook.

Lee, Hurns, and Cole will all have to get over the drop tendencies they showed today, but the receivers we have can be effective -- especially with the emphasis on the run. They need to be more dependable when their number is called but... they can get it done.

This sucks is since we loss a guy with big play ability

But this isnt as devastating as it would be due to the way we want to play football, run the ball and play great defense

Also we have two other really good WRs in Lee and Hurns, a lot of teams dont have that, also we get Dede Westbrook back week 8

Also, we might not be as good at that position but we'll be faster.

I agree

O'shannassy looked nice on that catch but is he the real deal

Not having a proving pass catching TE is gonna hurt us, I would go sign Barnadge instead of another WR

Cole is is turning into a liability out there. He can't catch.

Damn, really sucks for the team but you really got to feel for Arob. Contract year for him. Terrible to see that happen. Wish him all the best and speedy recovery. Lee and Hurns should be able to handle the fort. Now the season becomes even bigger for Lee as he will be focused as the primary #1 and he himself is in a contract year. Lets see what you got Lee. Earn those #1 receiver dollars.

Besides feeling bad for the team, I feel sorry as hell for Allen Robinson. He's worked and practiced and practiced and worked to compete on the Big Field, something I'm sure he's wanted to do since a child, and now he has to watch from the sidelines for an entire season. Money just can't reward some things.

Silver lining is that we pick up a receiver with 4nette. Rumor is that he has awesome hands.
Here we go again

He dropped one ball.

Please stop talking you're looking foolish

He has dropped one ball every game for the last three he has played in.

Three perfectly thrown footballs I might add.

And I am the one looking foolish?

That sucks. Especially for him in a contract year. Hopefully, he's back next season and hungry.

There's gotta be a veteran on the waiver wire who can help a bit.

Maybe the Jags get a reasonable deal in regards to a contract extension

That sucks. He was our red zone target. Hope we can make a trade or find someone in free agency

Well this sucks.

Do we promote Etta-Tawo from the PS and roll with Lee, Hurns and Cole as our top three, or do Coughlin and Caldwell pursue an old acquaintance?

If Walters is healthy - it would be nice to have another option in the slot besides Hurns. That way Hurns can get some reps outside. It would offer some flexibility. Not sure where Benn is on knowing the various positions. If he can take reps in the slot, then maybe they just call up the PS guy Etta-Tawo and sign a new PS receiver.

Maybe $12M/year for 4-5 years? But it'd be structured with performance clauses covering the concern on rehab from the ACL. Maybe incentivize it so he could make up to $16Mish/year if he had top 5 WR stats or something.
