We really haven't seen him bust into the clear yet, but he looks like the complete package. He will have some big games if he stays healthy.

fournette faced an 8 man box more than any RB in the league in week 1... and still did well
Yeah I was extra wrong about him. He is the real deal. We have us a super star boys. Let's not forget that the Texans defense was number 1 last year. Their defense played pretty well he was just that good. If he doing that against a top defense in his first NFL game I can't wait to see what he does against lesser defenses.
I took a close look at every one of Fournette's runs to get an idea of what the OL was doing. Here's the video...
It soon becomes obvious when you pay close attention that Linder is just destroying the Texans. He's literally having his way with them reminding me on Tony Boselli. After that, I'm impressed with Cam Robinson and AJ Cann who seem to be handling their roles just fine. Parnell isn't that bad, but I do expect a little more from an NFL right tackle. Omameh is not all that, but playing between Cam and Linder they do a fine job opening holes. You spot #77 often because he's so often held up, but that almost helps to create gaps it would seem for Fournette. Linder and Cann do a fine job pulling... Omameh not so much, but I did notice Omameh doing a great job getting downfield to block on a screen pass. Oh, and Marcedes is almost as good as Linder... He's probably the 2nd best run blocker out there and helps to blow things wide open for Fournette outside.

Props to the young man nabbing 124 all-purpose yards against the most consistently stacked box in the NFL by far for week 1. I think Houston had 8 or more in the box a ridiculous 10% more than any other team. I could be off by a few percentage points though.
Also shout out to our FB Bohanon. I was thoroughly impressed with his play. (Although on a bit of whimsy, not at all a shot at #40, could you imagine 4nette running behind Greg Jones? Dear Lord. The punishment they would give defenses...) We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
What I took away from that clip are two things; one, Fournette gets more YAC ( yards after contact ) than any RB we've had since MoJo. Two, he was a shoe string tackle away from a couple of breakaway runs which would have increased his per yard average to 5.0 or higher.
Looks like you got a good one with Fournette, which should surprise no one. My concern would be him wearing down as the season progresses. Bortles will need to step up at some point to take some pressure off. I don't think 11/21 for 125 is gonna get it done too often.
Fournette has seen 8 mans boxes his whole life. I'm sure he's faced 8 dudes against him since middle school. When the dude says the NFL is slow and runs through the Texans premiere defense, it tells me he is way more advanced than we thought. He runs with purpose and can deliver a blow knocking a guy out of the game at any moment. The crazy part is he is just gonna get better week after week
100 yard day ... and it only took 26 carries to get there!!
At this rate he will finish the season with over 400 carries. Jags gonna run him into the ground by next year. Oh well, might as well use him up now. He looks like he's 30 anyway, probably doesn't have many years left We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Their typical 3rd down back was out of the game injured (healthy this week) , Ivory served up 4.8 YPC as a spell-back and they haven't even started using their gadget-back, Corey Grant yet. They have plenty of ways to keep Fournette's number of carries in check whenever they want to do so. Fournette definitely better not be getting 26 carries a game or obviously he will hit over 400 for season. I would like him to get around 18-20 and Ivory to get a few more if he doesn't start fumbling like last year.
No Fun

I just read where Zeke is about to hit his 16th 80+ yards rushing game which will set a record. The way 4net manages to at least keep going forward, I can totally see him reaching 100 consistently, and maybe even setting his own record.

How has no one added any nuance to that stacked box stat yet? The Texans stacked the box because we ran by far the fewest 11 personnel sets last week, only 17 plays.
When we run 72% of our plays with 2 TE and/or a FB of course the defense is going to react to that with 8+ men in the box. That will happen no matter who the running back is. Matt HarmonVerified account @MattHarmon_BYB Sep 11 Jaguars deployed 11 personnel on just 17 plays in Week 1, only five of which were run plays.

I would like to know those stats and how that compares as well. I think the bigger point was that he ran for triple digits and the was the best defense in football he did that against.
