Sorry, but all the love for Kaepernick is laughable.  On his best day, he's pedestrian.  There's a reason he's not on any roster today.  If he could make plays, Satan would be on a roster.  Mike Vick kicked around the league as a backup / starter after he served his prison sentence.  The fact that Kaepernick hasn't found another team to sign him speaks volumes about what teams think of his QB abilities.  It's not about his political views.  That simply adds to the apprehension.  If he could play, that would be an afterthought.

If that was the only reason he's not on this roster, some team would have taken a flyer on him and offered a contract.  The political viewpoints are nothing more than added baggage to the situation.  There are people in the league who were inked to deals for doing far worse than taking a knee during the National Anthem.  For a team like the Jaguars, he simply isn't worth the added headache of the media circus that would follow, but let's not portray it like he's being wronged strictly for his taking a knee.  There's more to it than that, and precedent in the history of the NFL to support that.  In a league where QB talent is already watered down, if he was as good as some of you fantasize him being, he'd be on a roster somewhere as a backup at least.

But when your team signs the former 4th string QB from the Saints over this guy who has talent but not the smarts, it kind of makes you forget about the IQ thing.

A lot of bi-polar fandom in this thread. Jags don't do anything...Blake sucks and this franchise is clueless. Jags grab a QB with low miles...what a crap signing. Jags suck! Credit the Jags for actually making a move and trying to spark something but to think this is a fix or one is on the way...crazy. So wait.  It's okay for you to tell me there's no hope because I say his political views are not the driving factor behind him not being on any NFL roster now, but you can say he's just not smart and that's why he shouldn't be here, and that's okay?  Sorry, but your reasoning for him not being here has nothing to do with his kneeling for the anthem, and neither does mine.  What you're insinuating with my position is pretty pathetic, even more so now that you're basically supporting my position.

The bottom line is that he's not on anyone's roster right now because he's not as good as some of you seem to think. The political baggage is simply an additional factor that tips the scales against him being on any roster because of the distraction it would cause. If he had the exact same viewpoint, but was a QB on the same scale as guys like Winston, Newton, or any other mid to upper half level QB's, he'd be on someone's roster regardless of whether he's taking a knee or not. As I stated before, there are guys who have done far worse who managed to stick on an NFL roster despite their baggage. Mike Vick is the perfect example. The guy was in prison for 2 years, resumed his NFL career and got another 7 years bouncing around the league.

I think it was Tom Brady who said something like, "If he can come in our house and beat us, then take his team to the Super Bowl he deserves a shot".

It's completely political. He challenged something that is interwoven into this society. PERIOD.

Dr. Claud Anderson describes a term "Deny and Neglect", which is what a large portion of this city and many others are using. Complete intellectual dishonesty to deny Kaep isn't better than at least half to a quarter of the STARTING QB's.

I'm a Veteran, and his kneeling didn't offend me in the least. He never said any disparaging thing concerning the military. While serving I saw many service members run to their car, or stay in the building, or other things we did to avoid saluting the flag. So these Veteran wannabe's and hypocrites can miss me with that dishonesty.

Him not having a job is about ONE thing and ONE thing only: He challenged what is interwoven into this society (which should cause shame to any decent person).
