Hi, Jaguars fans!    .  Richard Stockton and Mark Schlereth are ananouncing the Jaguars late afternonn home game at EverBank Field, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Shannon Spake, for a 4:25PM Eastern Standard Time for The NFL On FOX, seen regionally,  and locally on WFOX Channel 30 in Jacksonville and WOGX Fox 51 Gainesville.

Rams are visiting Jacksonville, and for the first time as the Los Angeles Rams, in 8 years.  Rams then  fly  on to London at Twickenham Stadium  after the game.

WJAX-TV CBS Channel 47 will also televise the Browns @ Texans, and Steelers @ Chiefs NFL On CBS doubleheader games in Jacksonville, live on HD.

Well we are in Houston for the AFC South implications. Last week (I live in Indiana) the Jags vs Steelers game was on in the Indy market. That's rare air. (Colts were on fox)

Fox only gets one game this week due to scheduling rules and contracts.
So if the entire nation has to choose between a multitude of early games, or Jags/Rams... naturally out of market areas are going to look elsewhere.

For instance, in NW Florida, near the Alabama state line... its Saints country. So they'll be showing the Saints game.
Green Bay and Minnesota is a divisional matchup against two good teams (and 2 teams the national media likes more than Rams or Jags)
Other Fox games are shown only in their local areas as well.

Had the game been a CBS game... there'd probably be a few more markets showing Rams/Jags but even still... with a game like Pittsburgh and KC, the in between markets tend to go with what they believe will give them the highest ratings/views.

The thing is, I am in the Jaguars market. Which network shows the Jaguars is irrelevant. Whether it is CBS or Fox I can watch almost every Jaguars game. This happens once a year.

Interest in the Rams and Jaguars should be high enough to be shown in Gainesville because of our win against the Steelers and how well they are playing this season. It likely will be a more entertaining game than the Buccaneers/Cardinals matchup considering how those two teams are playing.

Well what you consider something and what is true is not always the same.
Like in this instance.
Gainesville likely would put Jags over Miami on CBS.
FOX will not put Jags over Bucs.

I'm not sure I can spell it out anymore for you. There are rules and guidelines the NFL uses for its TV sharing... and outside of those rules, local affiliates choose which game to play based on TVs tuning in.
I'm guessing their numbers people have it figured out. Play the Bucs early or the Jags late... they choose the early game. And quite possibly (due to a rule I may not know about) they might not have much choice on the matter.
The Fox late games may only be an option in those local markets due to the rules.

I'm pretty sure Gainesville doesn't have its own local Fox channel. If not, the team being shown would be determined by which city's Fox TV feed is shown in Gainesville. Since they're showing the Bucs in Gainesville this Sunday, I'd guess Gainesville gets the Orlando Fox channel, not the Jacksonville Fox channel.

I'm pretty sure Gainesville doesn't have its own local Fox channel. If not, the team being shown would be determined by which city's Fox TV feed is shown in Gainesville. Channel 13 is Fox. The network uses different numbers elsewhere, but I definitely have no problem watching games on Fox.
