"At running back...number 32...Maurice Jones-Dreeeewwww."

Just a question:

Why does the defense or any part of it need a nickname?

Let's put aside the fact this team, while promising, has yet to achieve greatness.

But assuming it has, does the lack of a nickname make it any less great? The1960s Chiefs, 2000 Ravens were one of the best defenses all time, as were the 2002 Bucs. None of those defenses had nicknames.

Were they any less great because of it?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

As far as the defense goes, Steve is starting to grow on me.

As for the offense, I think Forrest Gump is fitting.
Only a chump boos the home team!

I also like Danger Zone for the secondary. Cuz you have to be dumb to try and pass on these guys.

I say we let fans of the opposing team name them. Most likely it would be "Oh god dammit!"

Lol, you're over thinking it. It works for the entire defense. A WALL of defense, don't over think this guys. Duval Wall would work, it's catchy short and to the point and it's easy to imagine announcers saying it during games.

When I read "Cat 5" I only think of what it is, short for Category. So would everyone else. Especially coming from Jacksonville, which was recently affected by a hurricane that at one point was a Cat 5, it would sound awful.

I thought Attack Cats might be good, but it sounds more like our strength is run defense.

Other teams don't complain about Legion of Boom, No Fly Zone, or NYPD (New York Pass Defense) too much, do they?

What planet are you from...

Love Steve. May I be so bold to add to it? Say... Legion of Steve??

I like Wall of Steve more. Or the Steve Curtain. Thundersteves? The Steven 5? Steve Team Six?

We don't have any defensive backs named Marshall.
