How good can the TITANS be?

Did it occur to you that you have to be a really good team at getting sacks to get 10 in 2 different games? Like good enough that only two other teams ever did it. Come on man, think.

Edit: btw sacks were not an official stat in 1967 so I am not sure where that is even coming from for the Raiders.

Its right in the league record book, which is wierd being they were not official until the early eighties. But google it, the 67 Raiders are there.

We'll see how good they can be. My guess is they come up short again this year. My opinion is the team is wasting away behind Mularkey.

TN has 430 yrds and TOP of 41 minutes and scored three TD's in the red zone against the top red zone D. Matthews dropped a TD, Davis fumbles in the endzone on a TD, they missed a FG and then gave Cincy an easy 7 on a short field INT. They should have won 40-17. This is two weeks in a row the offense has scored 3 red zone TDs. Mariota looked good again and its clear he is getting well. They did this with Spain missing another game and they ran for 180 yds.

Their defense played lights out again.

Interpretation of the above:

Some stats
an excuse
another excuse
more excuses
a little shoulda-coulda-woulda speculation
false sense of security
meaningless stat

The funniest part is he's bragging about stats that are almost the same as the ones the Jaguars put up last week, except the Jaguars didn't need to worry about last minute scores to win against a team as bad as the Bengals.

We (the Titans) haven't put together a full 4 quarters of football in a while. Yet they still have found ways to win. 6-3 looks pretty good right now. Problem coming up is the Steelers, on a Thursday night short week on the road. Are they beatable? Sure...the Jags have already done it. But the odds aren't in our favor considering the turnaround time.

Reasonable take. +1.

The tacks are like the turd that won't flush. They stink, but somehow keep winning. I see Mariota as O'doyle on Billy Madison. He will get his soon......

Unforttantly for the jags, and us fans tittians are super good this year. if Steelers don't beat them i wouldn't be one bit surpised if they never lost a game again.

there seems to be a TC curse with the tittians when he is with the jags. I don't recall Jags ever beating tittians when TC was with them.

snowwolf titans owner in madden.

note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.

Mariota keeps leading game-winning drives to give his teams Ws, while Bortles keeps doing the opposite

I still think Bottles has a higher ceiling that Mariota. MM is a solid game manager. A few steps below an Alex Smith type. You can win with a game manager.

Bortles having a higher ceiling that Mariota?  Seriously?  Bortles was this close to getting benched two years in a row.  Mariota's situation in Nashville has never been in any doubt.

And yeah, that's a real "game manager" on the Titans final drive today.

He's been pretty bad this year. Isn't he on pace for like 12 tds and 11 picks? If you can defend that garbage then you shouildnt be heckling a jags fan for thinking his QB(who has played better this year) has a higher ceiling.

This TNF game coming up will tell us everything you need to know. Its one thing to barely squeak by terrible teams like the Ravens, Bengals, and need overtime to drop the 0fer Browns.

This is the top seeded AFC team, beat them and I will change my mind. I feel like Pittsburgh matches up well vs Tennessee though... And Tennessee is still playing meh. This is the true test game for the tacks.

I am Bortles biggest critic, but yes, he has a higher ceiling than Mariota if not based only simply on the fact of his ability to stay healthy. Mariota is built like a 5th grader and gets hit at least one time a game where you say "that's the one. Hes out for the year".

Like someone else said, reality check game on Thursday.
