He's become our version of QB purgatory. Bortles does it differently than Dalton/Schaub/Garrard did, but ultimately he's become good enough that we aren't going to be candidates for the top QBs anymore but also probably not good enough to lead us to a deep playoff run.

While he is cheap that's fine you can build around him with expensive assets. Just as long as we don't make the mistake those aforementioned other teams did and give him the long term extension that costs us some of the guys that are currently carrying the team instead of Blake.

Yeah. 

Gotta just pony up on that 5th year option and draft a guy early.  Then pray the kid either pushes Blake over the top or clearly outperforms him.

I'm hoping we get a good receiver in round 1 , QB in 2. I agree, he needs to be pushed forward or over.

Take 53 yards from Mariota and they barely cracked 100 plus. This game wasnt even won ln the ground. The run game was about as bad as the Jaguars run despite the stats.

He didn't start till week 6.  They were 1-4 when he took over and then he led them to the play offs and a victory against the Steelers in which he had 316 yards passing and 2 TDs.  Tebow got shafted by the league because he was an outspoken christian.

Bortles didn't play badly. He played well. He tied the game up with a key drive and key 2 point conversion.  

Just making the point that he's still Bortles. He still throws awful turnovers at the worst times.
