Funny thread. Both teams wanted to lose which was reminiscent of the Jets game. However, mistakes by the officials helped the Chargers out a lot. They should eat dirt.
So apparently, they are done with Rivers...
While his INT cost them big... I dunno if I put their loss on his shoulders. Their D let them down so many times with Bortles' mistakes. (11-14-2017, 12:07 PM)Kane Wrote: So apparently, they are done with Rivers... I'd give our first round pick up for him.

Yet, this clearly takes a back seat to how most San Diego Chargers fans feel about LA Chargers owner Dean Spanos. Both in terms of moving the team to the LA area and his football related decisions over the years.

Hopefully some team throws a boatload of money at Lee in free agency based on the perception that he's a #1 receiver, so the Jaguars can get a better compensatory pick.

On the last interception by Bortles, the intercepting player just strolled out of bounds at the 10 yard line as if the game was over. If he had tried to return that pick and gotten some yardage, we would have had much worse field position after the succeeding punt and probably would not have kicked the field goal to tie the game.

Apparently the most important thing to him on that play was taunting Lee. Funny how none of the chargers taunting offenses merited a flag, but two of the Jaguars' did.

If I am going for an older QB and giving up our 1st, it needs to be a guy like Rodgers who actually has some years left. I would add Alex Smith even, but I think you could have him for a 2nd (or maybe even free this summer) and he would be much better value.(11-14-2017, 12:07 PM)Kane Wrote: So apparently, they are done with Rivers... The 6th seed in the AFC is up for grabs. I know the Chargers are a couple of games out of it and have very little margin for error going forward, but I feel like they're better than the teams ahead of them in the win column and they could go on a run and get themselves back into it. I don't think Buffalo will hold the 6 seed. I think the Ravens have the best shot at it, but the Chargers have a very manageable schedule as well. The Jets are facing the murderers row part of their schedule and the Dolphins road isn't much better. The Raiders still have some tough games left. The Broncos have a very manageable schedule as well, but their QB situation leads me to believe they will lose too many of them. The Texans have a tough schedule left and no QB and the Bengals appear to have a relatively tough remaining schedule as well.
The Chargers are in a must win game this weekend against Buffalo though, so we'll have a better idea after that game. Wouldn't that be something if we wound up with the 3 seed and had to see the Chargers as the 6 seed again here in the post season during wildcard weekend? That's not the match up I'd like to see again. I guess it would be better than playing the tacks in back to back weekends on week 17 and then again during wildcard weekend though. Let's hope we can somehow lock up a bye and not have to worry about it. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! What they need to realise is that it's not about winning.. it's just about getting better..

The Chargers are bad news and I hope they miss the playoffs, but that AFC West is collapsing around them. They would be the 4th seed if they somehow win that division. I don't think they have a shot at a wildcard but who knows? I would rather play the Bills or Ravens than the Chargers again. |
