Jags vs Cardinals..... And Gabbert
|
Apparently Leftwich is a really good coach and people are saying he’s gonna be a HC one day.
I hope he does. I always liked big Byron. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'm with 02 here. If a 3rd string QB beats the Jags D or even keeps it close, I'll be shocked. This should be won handily by the Jags with the Jags' Defense leading the way either by getting a score outright or setting up the O nicely with short fields. I don't know if I like the Jags to get to 27 or the Cards to get to 13, but I do see us winning this by two scores or more. I'm thinking more like 20 to 6.
My main worry about this game is playing it out west, two time zones away. In the past, it seemed to affect us. Of course, in the past, we sucked.
This week I'm going to say.
Jags win BIG, 42-10. Gabbs gets sacked six times, picked off two times and fumbles once.

I can see the jags losing this one. Bortles doesnt play well out west. The cardinals will get a special teams score and play some good defense. 17-13 redbirds

I remember being so excited about the Gabbert pick. I also remember Tony Khan telling us that when Gabbert has 3.1 seconds or more to throw he was the best QB in history (or something ridiculous like that.)
Oh, well. Good for him for being able to hang on in the league for as long as he has. That in and of itself is more impressive than any QB stat.

If sacksonville shows up, Gabbert will curl up in the fetal position. I also expect Calais to have a big game against his former team.

He’s always been a cerebral x’s and o’s type of guy. Had he had a quicker release and better injury luck his career would’ve not doubt been more successful.

Bad OL, bad QB, and mistake-prone offense.
Their offense's weakness is our defense's strength. There's no reason to believe a scared QB can power his way passed beating the NFL's best defense. Has Gabbert EVER done well against a good defense or against consistent pressure? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I honestly feel better about this game then the Browns...
The Browns had a better defense especially when it comes to stopping a physical running team...which is what we do. We all know that our D can win/keep us in any game but it is how does our O match up that is the biggest swing factor. I feel our O matches up better this week than last week. Their only wins were: Indy by 3...SF by 3...TB by 5...SF by 10. (11-21-2017, 08:10 PM)Jeff.Fisher Wrote: I can see the jags losing this one. Bortles doesnt play well out west. I know the Cards have a defense good enough to shut out teams, but I have to think this game is full of sacks and turnovers by the Jaguars defense where either the defense scores or gives the offense a short field. If nothing else we should be able to win with FGs.

Same prediction from me every week, too.
If we can get the running game going, control the ball, get some first downs, give the defense a rest, don't turn the ball over, then we will win. I never thought Gabbert was as bad as a lot of Jags fans said he was. I thought his problem was that he was an inexperienced QB with no support. |
