that pass with under a minute left should be a fireable offense

No all they had to do is run and Ryan not token a sack, that late sack Ryan took knocked them out of the FG range.

Hence my point; don’t call a pass play. Run it, bleed the clock. He should never been in a position where a sack was possible

And if we fumbled again. They get the ball back near the goal line. And we lose by more than three. With Fournette still fighting injuries and Ivory fumbled before. A pass wasn't as bad as seamed.

If Blake didn't throw a pick minutes before than. Wouldn't of came down to it. Anyway.

They could have taken a knee lol. I hear what you are saying and it actually makes sense but again if you are playing for OT the play for OT. If you are playing greedy then play greedy. Don’t throw a three yard slant on 2nd and 8 and the run up the middle on 3rd and 8 lol. Go for the gusto. They had a lapse in judgement.

I didn’t think about it from the angle you present. That’s actually a good take. Ivory and Yeldon are fumbling machines and Fournette was injuried but they could have ran the clock out by kneeling. They just managed that wrong.

None of this would matter if Jack wasn't clearly held on the first pass play. Only got them about 7 extra yards or so.

fire this idiot, and let TC take us to the playoffs... TC doesnt make that mistake in his sleep

absolutely unforgivable

A couple years ago TC's horrible clock management cost the Giants several early season games.  Nobody is immune, even Belichick has made some bonehead calls.

I remember Belicheck went for it on 4th down on his own 20 to keep Peyton Manning from getting the ball. I’m sure we all know how that went lol

While I agree that the play call was really dumb, most of the blame should be on Lee. The guy is a pro and can't make a very simple catch. Had he caught the pass the outcome would have been different.

Anybody got a gif or video of the play? If I recall Blake snapped it with like 15 seconds on the play clock. I wanted to see a video of the play because I feel like this was a Marrone let me try and trick you again play. I wonder if on the play they had Westbrook or Cole going deep and Lee was the checkdown if Blake didn't like the look. This was most def a call by the coach trying to catch the defense off guard making them think the Jags were running off the clock by running on first down. It didn't work out at all but in theory isn't a bad idea. Had Blake waited to snap it with like 4 seconds on the play clock then the FG attempt never would of happen.
