The media will keep saying stuff like, "Blake Bortles played well against a backup corner and safety." Byron Maxwell was terrible once he left Seattle, as if he is only good with Gus Bradley.

Blake needs to play like he did yesterday. I don't know if that's possible, given how much better Seattle's pass defense is over the Colts. But if he does it, he could be punching his ticket to at least another year in Jacksonville.

My two cents.. This is the toughest game we have left. We have not been running the ball as well lately due to injuries up front. It will be a good sign for the Jags if Omameh comes back from his two game layoff.

That Russell Wilson guy is okay, but he's no Bryan Anger. No, seriously.. He is that offense. Unreal at keeping plays alive, tremendous arm. We will need to force him into bad decisions to win. I would feel a lot better if Telvin Smith clears the concussion protocol this week. He was out vs. the Colts, but his speed would be used to try to counter Wilson's legs. A little bummed they pushed the game back to 4:25 as I think it takes away the time zone advantage. Should be a good one that gets settled late.

It's great to see the Jags having a great season, I'm from the UK so have a bit of a soft spot for the Jags given their ties with London etc.

How do you guys see this game going? The Seahawks are getting hot at just the right time and comfortably beat the number 1 offense last night. Don't be fooled into thinking that because the team no longer has Sherm and Kam that they're old hat, they're not. Byron Maxwell is covering Sherm's side OK (most of the time!) and Bradley McDouglad has done a superb job in covering the SS position. He's much better in coverage than Kam but not as strong in the run game, swings and roundabouts I guess. 

The Seahawks know all about Calais and what he can do, boy was I glad to get that man out of the division! Total beast. In fact, your whole defense is incredible but with Russell Wilson being Russell Wilson, I think he gets another win on the road, but only barely. 

I'm predicting a 20-14 Hawks win, lots of punts and a great game for the defensive minds amongst us!

I think it's true, to a degree. Seattle is a benchmark of sustained success. Someone gets injured and you don't see a glaring hole (barring the Earl Thomas injury last year where the backup was god awful). Seattle knows how to win games. Their 4th quarter stats are out of this world good and they've come from behind from huge deficits to win. They play to the last second, don't give up so if you can beat them it's down to pure talent and 'want'. 

To be honest, I think you guys already are the top defense, Seattle is good, no doubt. Bobby Wagner and Earl Thomas are All World talents, it's really like having 13 players on the field.

You guys remind me of the 2013 defense, that puts an instant smile on my face! I'm excited to watch them and see what they can do on Sunday.

Eddie Lacy is appalling. He's slow, no doubt, but he then doesn't have the power to compensate and push people over to gain extra yards, I suspect one more team will give him a try next season then he will be done. 

Luke has proved a pretty good signing for us, not unbelievable but certainly good. I think he gets a contract extension here. Considering the teams LG position beforehand Joeckel is playing very well. I'd be happy with a 3 year $18M-$22M contract for him. 

Byron Maxwell is undoubtably a system guy, he's played poorly everywhere else he plays but plays well for Seattle. Sure he gives up some yards but what CB doesn't? Seattle is aggressive at the line and often plays press and jams the receiver off their route early to mess up with timings giving the pass rush an extra half second to get home.

Pretty sure he fell off a cliff statistically 2 years ago.  He’s done.  Just collecting a paycheck at this point.  I would have thought all Packer (and Seahawk) fans already knew that though.

Former Jaguars CB and Seahawks scout Bucky Brooks wrote in his Scout's Notebook one week Richard Sherman is getting slower and even losing his balance on some plays when everyone was going nuts over the GM's trade comments. Were you seeing that too before he got hurt?

Reading all this stuff about how we (Jaguars) have the NFL's best secondary, with former Steelers CB Ike Taylor rankng Jalen Ramnsey/AJ. Bouye as the top CB duo anywhere almost every week. Even last season, the signs were there that we (the Jaguars) would soon have to judge our secondary on the Legion of Boom and No Fly Zone level. My mind went back to when Richard Sherman had a fued with Darrelle Revis about who is the best shutdown corner before they met in Super Bowl 49. If this game was played earlier in the season we could see that battle play out.

I saw little to no downturn in Sherm's play in all honesty. I think he comes back next year better than ever. His trade value is too low. Players of his calibre should retire with their drafted team IMO.

I'm really not convinced a spy is the way to deal with him. Perhaps running a nickel package and have a speedier guy keep a close eye but in reality a corner blitz from the strong side is probably the best way to get to him. Appreciate you can't be doing exotic corner blitzes every down, though.

The problem with assigning a player to spy on Wilson is that effectively takes a player out of the defense.  So then we're playing with 10 men.

I think they're going to try and contain him on the edges with Campbell and Ngakoue and attempt to really push inside the pocket and collapse it with Jackson, Dareus/Jones and Jack running up inside the interior. This will more than likely set it up to where Smith and/or Posluszny will have to move around and keep a hat on Jimmy Graham. Especially when/if they get inside the red zone. Graham has been Wilson's go-to in the redzone this year. I am confident that Bouye, Colvin and Ramsey will keep Baldwin, Lockett and Richardson in check. 

They can't run the football for [BLEEP]. That's the key for them. Shut that down early and take that away from them and it's probably party over early on for them. They're struggling with blocking in general and that's why Wilson's running for his life and leading them in rushing right now. But as I've cited earlier. I feel like our guys are too fast and quick to allow him to break containment and gouge us as much as he's done this year. I just don't see it. 

Now on the other side with our offense against their defense. They're pretty good at snuffing out the run. They have a banged up secondary. No creeping up with a safety or corner, etc. This is the game where I would like to see Lewis break off a multi TD game. The TE position seems to have faded out of the passing game recently. This would be the game to bring it back into the mix.

He's the number 2 receiver really. Although Jimmy Graham would argue he is, despite being a tight end. 

Man works well from a Seahawks stand point, typically the Seahawks receivers play a lot better when facing man coverage.
