I think Jack likes to go for the big hit, but is often times late. I'm actually shocked that he hasn't received more unnecessary roughness/personal foul penalties for always diving on the pile.

I also think he needs to work on actually wrapping up and tackling like Poz does instead of "hitting."

He has the tools but I think he is still pretty far behind where he should be play wise. He plays safe and appears lost in the open field. If it would start to click so he doesn’t have to think so much, he’d be a dangerous addition.

Myles Jack is having a good season. He started off rough, but since then he has another reason this defense is so good. Jack can cover a lot of ground. He loves contact.

So much for that knee injury. Dude is a stud. I was wrong about him missing tackles.

I wasn't wrong back in the preseason about him missing tackles. It was horrendous how he was slipping off RBs trying to play MLB. 

The following week, however, he found himself back at SLB, and since then he's been a tackling machine.

Ok... I guess I'll be the conflicting voice...

I'm not all that high on him, honestly.  He's good, but just a guy imo.

He's made fewer notable plays than every other starter, primary rotation guy, on the defense.

His tackles stat is likely highly inflated due to his habit of diving on the pile late, which drives me insane and he does it a LOT.  He nearly cost us 15 yards last week, except he actually missed his target.  One of my biggest complaints about him was just made significantly more relevant, and that's that he tends to tackle/dive at people w/ his head down.  Not only does this cause him to miss tackles, we all saw what happened in Pittsburgh.

I agree w/ the above that he's definitely the weakest link on our D.  Granted... our D is so disgustingly stacked that a Good player can still be the worst one on the field.

Ultimately, he's fine.  Not looking to bench/cut him, he's just the least impressive member of our defense (of players who start/rotate).

I can agree with most of this, however, he's a very young player and is developing in the offense just fine. He's still feeling his way and figuring things out, but with that sheer speed, incredible agility and overall athleticism, I feel like in a year or two he'll start getting noticed as one of the best. He's aready one of the better coverage LBs the Jaguars have ever had. Akin Ayodele, for instance, was a great tackler who you could rely on to be in his gap, but he blew in coverage compared to Myles Jack.

I'd like to see more big plays out of Jack. He did have the one 81-yard fumble recovery for a TD, so you know it's in him. I just like to see this happen more often. Jack is dangerous as heck when he gets the ball in his hands on defense. The opposing offense can't seem to touch him as he's able to juke them with ease.

I think we’ll see those big plays as the playbook becomes second nature. I’d like to see break out for the last few games of the year.

still takes bad angles from time to time, and sometimes is invisible. but you can clearly see the talent. He's improved much this season. I expect him to really hit his stride next year moving forward. He's a young kid who split time at RB and LB in college, so this is expected since he couldn't really settle in at any spot until he hit the NFL.
