In my opinion, if you buy this you're going to lose money... unless perhaps if you're a day trader.  Meanwhile, I've enjoyed the nice growth of ITA.  I only wish that I had bought more shares of it, but the 400 shares that I did buy are up 24%.  I may look for the next slight dip to pick up some more shares.

Just my opinion, bitcoin is going to kill a lot of people's portfolios, especially if they are "all in".  It's a risky and (in my opinion) a stupid investment.  There is no value there.

Bitcoin was obviously pumped up in mid December and tons of people were buying in. It really had no place to go but down at that point. Lots of people lost a lot of money.

South Korea is going to outlaw it, and I imagine we will follow suit soon after. No way to tax it, so it only makes sense that it becomes illegal. Plus the North Koreans are using it to fund their survival, so it makes sense for the US and its allies to kill it.

You tax it on Capitol gains. You can show what you put in and took out on the wallets. South Korea is actually behind cryptos, specifically icx. China is behind certain projects and many banking institutes are buying in. It's not going anywhere.

I've tried to tell that to a lot of people.  It's not an investment, it's a gamble.  People that are "investing" in this are going to lose a lot of money.

In other news ITA closed up 1.18% today closing at $198.99.  I only wish that I had bought more shares than I did a little over a year ago (11/10/16) When I bought it at $137.50.  The shares that I did buy are up 44.72%.  I also picked up some more this past November at $177.26 and those shares are up 12.26%.

It's pretty wild.  Not really a crypto but it is digital currency like Apple pay or Google pay.  When you have places like Venezuela with a currency in shambles it becomes easier to believe in these things.

I think it started as just an additional mobile network service. So you could pay money on to your mobile phone account and then use that to pay.  Became so handy that it eventually became common place.

Yeah makes a ton of sense for places with less infrastructure. 

A long way down the road an economy purely ran on digital money could become very very dangerous though. Lots of pitfalls.
