Trump Doubles Deficit
|
"Shai Akabas of the Bipartisan Policy Center said: “Having such large deficits during peaceful, strong economic times is reckless fiscal policy. We saw in 2008 how the economy can turn on a dime. If something like that were to happen in the next few years with these kinds of deficits — particularly with the ageing of the baby boomers on top of that — we’d be in a very dangerous fiscal position.” "
"Donald Trump suggested when he was running for office that he would pay off America’s national debt in just eight years, but he instead appears set to preside over a period of extraordinary fiscal indiscipline." https://www.ft.com/content/ca8a9cf4-075f...a258aa73e0 We show less advertisements to registered users. When did these liberals become so fiscally conservative?
Most of this deficit is military spending (surprise, we are the kings of world policing, which isn't a trump thing, or an Obama thing, it's an America thing) But... what we could cut into is spending on welfare programs that don't actually help anyone. I say get rid of all of it.

Who had nothing to say about Obama increasing the deficit. No matter what the number is. Anyone who expects sweeping radical changes of D.C. from the inside are naive at best. The only way we see real change real "draining" is via a revolution. And let's be honest, most of America are way too lazy and content to risk that much for the betterment of the next generation.
Reps and Dems and their cult followers dont care about spending or deficits until the other party is in office, which is pretty much the reason why there's a problem to begin with.

Rand Paul said it best: the Republicans are the fiscal conservative party when Democrats are in power, but when they're in power, they spend worse than Democrats do.
We're in deep trouble, because now, there's no one watching the spending. It used to be the Republicans, but they have abandoned their principles and they're spending like drunken sailors.
Deep deep trouble.

Maybe he is on to something.

Not surprising since we elected a president whose businesses went bankrupt multiple times. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Frankly, Jim Mattis has shown more honesty and more ability to lead than the past five Presidents combined. I strongly believe he and Kelly should step down and run as a tandem against Trump in 2020. This is probably the last thing you'd expect to hear me say, but Generals make the best Presidents. They've learned how to treat people with respect, they've learned how best to apply the resources they have at hand, and they know first-hand the horrors of war and, no matter how hawkish they seem to be, fully understand that sending young men to their deaths is a grave responsibility and not one to be taken lightly. I’d be shocked if he could handle a case without assistance. Editor? Author? Are those considered good qualifications for President? State legislators where he accomplished what? As a US senator, he had one of the worst attendance records there. He barely did anything while there. You love the titles he holds but he doesn’t have experience with any of them. Or maybe you can show what he accomplished while at these jobs? |
