I don't understand this trade at all, unless Peters was just a straight out locker room cancer. He is one of the better CB's in the league.

I guess we don't know the details yet, but the Chiefs are expected to get "a package of draft picks" for Peters. They're stocking up, and probably feel they have CBs on their roster ready to step up and replace him.

They got Fuller in the KC trade and Eric Berry will be coming back.  Im sure they go defense early, the d will be better than last year.  All depends on how Mahomes plays

Good.  They are on the schedule.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Apparently he wasn't gonna re-sign and his attitude was terrible.

Still, he's one of the most talented CBs we have seen turnover wise. A secondary of Peters, Fuller, Berry would have been scary. I would have kept him.

Does anyone know what Chiefs got in return?

My wild, speculative, uneducated guess would be third and fourth round picks.

Him leaving a game without being suspended and returning without socks on probably rubbed people off the wrong way.

Just looking at Peters as a player, I have to think that Rams defense has risen to the nasty level with this acquisition.

My way too early belief is that the Rams will win that division next year with the 49ers in 2nd, Seattle 3rd and Arizona bringing up the rear, primarily due to having no QB.

Good guess.

A 4th and a 2019 2nd which is equivalent to a 3rd round pick.

And KC tosses in their 6th along with Peters.

Huge steal. Although telling that more teams weren't in on it.

I've read where they, Kansas City, reached out league-wide about him. They got interest from three teams.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

This makes me think he was a real locker room headache and they were eager to dump him.

He is a young premier player at a marquee position.  They could have gotten more, I think.

I agree with you, and I can see how their acquisition of the DB from Washington may tilt they're thinking, but it almost feels like they couldn't get him out the door fast enough. Might be one of those where they escorted him off the plane to make sure the deal went through.
