I know it's four needs - not three.  But the QB just thing can't be ignored. They should be pushing Bortles with young competition.

I dont think this team needs a true #1 receiver. We need a group effort so Blake doesnt lock on to one guy every play like he did with Arob. Playing without him might have been the best thing for Blake. He played with 2 rookies a second year undrafted and Lee and Hurns who was hurt

It's not about having a true #1 for me. It's about having a guy with some size to beat press and jump-ball ability to help Bortles from the X receiver spot.  

A guy with a different skill set than the guys we have.

  A-Rob was really the only one with that skill set and it was missed in 2017 despite the popular perception based on the season's overall result.

Don't know but what if they don't believe he can be that player next year coming off an ACL? Lot of 6'2 6'3 6'4 guys coming out with speed that didn't have the wow numbers because of the school they went to. I liked the receivers at the combine.

Yes, it is. Bortles has a very limited skillset that pigeon holes our offensive game plan. Just look at the extension he signed. Does that look like a contract made by a team that has total confidence in it's QB? No. It's a very team friendly deal that basically allows us to cut ties with him at the end of the season. He basically took low end starter money on a short term basis. That shows me that we will be looking hard at QB's in this draft that can push him and basically take over the reigns as a starter in 2019. Without a QB who can allow us to open up the playbook, we'll never win a Superbowl.

I think the injury is definitely a factor in the Jags not being at the front of the line in the A-Rob sweepstakes.

I hope they draft one that can beat the press and fight for contested balls as well as A-Rob did in 2015. A wide catch radius is the other big need from the X receiver when you're starting Bortles. A-Rob bailed him out of quite a few off target throws and the new guy will likely have to do that a fair amount as well.

I think Bortles' accuracy got worse from '15 to '16 and Robinsons production went along with it.

Robinson's body language showed his frustration and people interpreted that as A-Rob phoning it in. I think he was just disappointed in his QB.

Bortles did play much worse that year but ARob wasn't helping much.  He wasnt winning the 50/50 balls and teams started playing him different.  Had some crucial TD drops and a few that were picked off that bounced off his hands.  Not to mention a remember him giving up on a few plays.  I never remember Andre Johnson or Hopkins not giving their all when the QB isn't playing well

He played at a pro bowl level in 2015 and then was severely limited by a lackluster offense and QB play in 2016. Had to deal with Gus too.

Sure he left some plays on the field but with even average QB play he'd have hit 1,000 yards and 10 TDs again. I'd be frustrated as hell too.

So OL and WR are no longer major needs. I think their first round pick is up in the air who to pick. Now even a possible trade down.

Still could go OL to replace Cann or find an eventual replacement for Parnell. TE is the one position that is definitely needed, but I don't think that group of 4 has one player that clearly separates from the others and should be able to get one in the 2nd, or if they trade back.

I think one of the main priorities now is to get replacements for guys who will be cap causalities in a year or two because of the Norwell signing. I think those are the safety position and the DL.
