Schefter: Moncreif to Jags (merged)

It's 7 base with the potential to go to 9.5. Not 10 base with the potential to rise.

What in the world are we doing? Hopefully JLC is off as he is prone to do cause that is crazy.

We're making him earn it with production.  Would you rather it be guaranteed?
You read it wrong. That tweet says it's a 10 million dollar base salary with the chance to earn more.

10 million for Moncrief but 16 is too much for ARob? This whole off season has been weird.

It's La Canfora, he's always wrong. The local reporters say it's 7 base. Rising to 9.6

Guess we won't know until later today.

Unfortunately there are folks who hate the jags so much they will intentionally Report the wrong numbers to make us look bad.

We definitely did not give Moncrief 10 plus incentives lol

The numbers that get leaked get adjusted all the time before the ink is dry so we'll see. If JLC is wrong it's a tenable deal on it's own, though crazy when combined with the fact that we gave up Arob for him and Marqise. If JLC is right it's just plain crazy all around.

Quick question:

Would you rather have ARob or Lee and Moncrief?

It's much more likely he's wrong imo.

And yeah I'd rather have Arob than Lee/Moncrief too.

Yikes. Based on what? lol

Moncrief hasn't done anything in the NFL so don't bring up anything from college.

Moncrief for his career has 1800 yards and 18 TDs. ARob had 1400 and 14 TDs in 2015.

Not sure how this is up for debate.

IMO, Robinson's knee = Hurn's head in the sense that the Jaguars, a billion dollar corporation with top medical people, have watched every step of both players rehabilitation and maybe...they don't like what they see.

Maybe AR15 isn't AR15 anymore. Maybe Hurns is still seeing stars or the team has been advised that he has hit Wes Welker territory, ie one more good hit could put him into La-La land.

Who's got the inside skinny on the medical here? Who KNOWS what is happening with those guys? Probably only the Jaguars.

AGREE !!!

Ever since he got to Indy he was under utilized. He was never first option. He was 3rd/4th. I think he never got a fair shake there and never would. He now is at a place where he can show what he can do. ARob was terrible at getting separation. His route running was average. Barely got any YAC. He was a sham.

Good stuff here, this guy has all kinds ability. He's big, fast, quick, runs good routes, and has good body control. He has a big upside given the fact that he's only 24 years old, I'm excited to see what Keenan can do with him. Moncrief has a chance to be one of the steals of free agency, this is a shrewd low risk/infinite upside signing by the Jaguars.
