I don't see Allen lasting passed pick #6. I have Darnold #4, Allen #5, Mayfield #6 and Rosen #11.

Will Hernandez would be the dream scenario but I doubt he makes it to 29. Looking at a lot of big boards I just don't see where the value is staying at 29 bc of our team needs after free agency. A trade down is very possible or they could be aggressive and trade up for a guard or tackle like mcglinchey.

This is so difficult, especially compared to past years. We've filled all our glaring holes in free agency, which leads me to believe we will pick the best available player. But with 28 picks in front of us, predicting who will be the best available player is almost impossible.

If you compare one of the top-50 prospect rankings to a reputable mock draft, and figure out who, in that unlikely scenario, is the best available player at pick #29, you can get some idea, but what are the odds of it actually happening that way?

Just for exercise, I took the mock draft by Bucky Brooks, and compared it to the top 50 prospect rankings by MMQB, and when the 29th pick came, the top rated prospects that were still available were:

14. Connor Williams, OT, Texas
17. Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama
22. Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa
25. Ronnie Harrison, S, Alabama
26. Taven Bryan, DL, Florida
27. Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
29. Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado

All those players were still available at the #29 pick. ASSUMING these valuations were correct, I would take the OT, Connor Williams.
