Lazard weighed in at 6' 4 5/8", 227 lbs and did 17 reps on the bench. Of note, he's fairly athletic at that size with a 4.55 40, a 38" vert and a 10'4" broad jump.

I'm actually more excited about the UDFA's we signed, than the players we drafted. Meeks will make the roster. Whether we use him at CB or Safety, it doesn't matter. I believe he was a 4th round pick. He has all the measurables and was a solid cover corner at Stanford. Darius Jackson should push for a roster spot. He's got solid pass rushing skills. Allen Lazard has a good chance at making the roster. He has length and superb hands and route running. He isn't very fast, but he catches everything thrown his way and has a huge catch radius. Now, my favorite. Tony Adams. I have no clue why this guy wasn't drafted. He is an excellent pass protector and even better at run blocking. Yes, he is undersized, but he was one of the best pure OG's in the draft. If he can adjust to the height differences between pass rushers in the NFL, he won't just make the team, he'll beat out A.J. Cann for the starting RG position. I can't believe he didn't get drafted.
I admittedly don't follow college football or know much about many players coming out, but I'm pretty hyped about the Tony Adams signing. This guy is so good, Mike Mayock had to stop talking about Will Richardson after the Jags drafted him in the 4th and gush about Adams a bit. And then the Jags snagged him as a UDFA? What's not to like?
If this guy's as good as Mayock thinks he is, he could be a major coup for the Jags. Not only will he be cheaper than Cann, but given that he's played next to Richardson, they'll have that needed chemistry on the O-line. Could see Cann and Parnell gone next year as the battle to remain highly competitive while still paying the guys who need it hits full swing.

These days, a 4.55 is practically a tight end time. I could see him working in as a receiving tight end who won't do much blocking, but we've already got two of those in ASJ and Niles Paul, and both are much higher-paid. Even O'Shaughnessey fits that role nicely, although I doubt he makes the team purely because NFL rosters generally require at least one tight end who can hold the point. Practice squad, sure, that's a possible outcome for any of the guys signed over the next few days. I think Lazard's best chance to stick would be to put that impressive combination of size and athleticism to work by leveling kickoff and punt returners. Players are going to win spots by how they play on STs.

I always root for these guys the most. Here’s hoping we find our diamond this year. We cut Brandon Marshal (The LB) who had several great years when we needed linebacker help badly. We also cut my favorite UDFA Mike Hilton (Ole Miss alum Guy here) what two years ago who had turned out to be an awesome nickel back. Norwell was an UDFA and now he’s arguably the best guard in the game. Would be awesome if we finally struck gold

Stupid question, but have any UDFAs actually signed? I remember in the past, they had to wait 24 hours after the draft to sign.
These lists of names I'm seeing, Are those wishes, or actual signings?
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Here is perhaps the best round-up of league-wide signings. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2018/4/28/1...sults-2018 Due to the sometimes frail nature of UDRFA it's always a good thing to keep an eye on the best lists being generated because teams do compete with each other. I remember one year the Jaguars thought they had acquired Christian Jones, Telvin Smith's Florida State University linebacker mate, which would have given us quite a pair. They impressed the Jaguars at the Senior Bowl and for whatever reason Jone did not get drafted. Initially, Christian showed up on the Jaguars' UDRFA list. Next thing Jones had changed his mind and landed on the Chicago Bears' UDRFA list. I guess they gave him more signing bonus money. On a separate note, I wonder if we should have spent a seventh rounder on Monmouth S Mike Basile? Unfortunately for us, it looks like the Colts have landed him as un-drafted. I can't imagine what it will be like facing him twice a year - should he make the Colts final roster. Mike is an impact player. He will use any opportunity he gets to demonstrate his talent and athleticism. Can't David Caldwell wave a few more bucks at him to attract him down here?
Wow, just woke up and was totally not expecting Meeks to go undrafted and sign with us, great pick up there.
Don't know much about the other guys but seems like this Tony Adams guard could be another great addition. I like undrafted guys (it's incredible that 3 out of 4 of our secondary were undrafted players) and hope some of them step up again. We show less advertisements to registered users. Part of me wants to join in the excitement over guys like Adams, but I don't want to jinx them, either. LOL Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
