What a joke, that will definitely get appealed and they need to start penalizing judges who hand down excessive sentences.

Not always, I've wheeled out a few patients who got handsy with the staff. Took them to the ED where a transfer order and a sherrif's deputy was waiting. Man, that was 20 years ago now, I feel old.

Nobody is advocating slapping women on the [BLEEP]. However a year in jail is excessive...that's the problem. Punish the guy by all means, but a fair punishment.

Make the punishment harsh, theoretically it will deter the behavior. I don't have a problem with it.

People like that, and criminals too, are predominantly very very very stupid people.

They don't think about consequence. They just think of the reward.

Stupid, short sighted morons.

Well let's just go ahead and chop his hand off like a 3rd world country while we're at it.

I mean those are two vastly different scenarios.

Dang ..... if this were in place back in the day, our entire college student population (male and female) would have been in jail.

It's disrespectful. And I don't care how old he is or how old you are. You ever touch a woman that you don't know closely or don't go to bed with every night on the [BLEEP] like that you deserve to get your [BLEEP] kicked. A one year sentence is pretty [BLEEP] ridiculous though. Maybe a fine and a few days. But putting a man at that age away for a full year is pretty [BLEEP] ridiculous.

He's facing up to a year in jail because almost every misdemeanor is punishable with up to a year in jail.

Almost none of them get that time. He'll probable get probation and pay a fine. The article is just trying to catch your attention.

The year in jail will be nothing compared to the 14 years he has left with his wife after he gets out.
