Top 10 current Jaguars
|
I remember Linder was our best player not too long ago. What about now?
1. Ramsey - could be the best player in the league very soon. 2. Yannick - 20 sack season? 3. Campbell - he is still in his prime 4. Bouye - he is a top cb in the nfl 5. Fournette - hopefully he leads the nfl in rushing for 2018 6. Linder - our best lineman 7. Smith - still can't believe he lasted until the 5th round. 8. Jack - becoming a great LB. 9. Cam Rob - he brought instant consistancy 10. Its between Fowler, Norwell, Jackson, and Bortles - I'm giving it to Fowler - the ACL is 2 years behind him. He had some game altering plays. To make it fun, anybody want to try a top 10 All Time Jaguar list?
1. Taylor 2. Boselli 3. Jimmy Smith 4. Tony Brackens 5. Brunell 6. Darius 7. Searcy 8. MJD 9. Mathis 10. McCardell ?? I didnt take much time for this one. So I dont know. Don't get me wrong Mathis was good especially in turbulent times, but Jalen is a better corner for me. I'd bump Keenan up to 9 and Jalen in at 10 personally. Ramsay- Will be 2nd original Jaguar to go to Canton (after Boselli). 2. Boselli- Equally dominant as Ramsay at critical position. 3. Taylor- Most exciting offensive player in team history. 4. J. Smith- Couldn't be covered by a single guy. Would have been Hall of Famer if not for drugs. 5. Ngakoue- When all is said and done, he'll be all-time sack leader for Jags (barring injury). 6. MJD- Underrated player. Imagine how he would have done if defenses didn't always put 8 men in the box. 7. Brunell- Best q.b. in team history by far. 8. Telvin Smith- Great player and team leader. A case could be made for him being higher. Best value draft pick ever for Jags. 9. Tony Brackens- If football was more important to him, he'd be higher up on this list. Just not consistent enough, but great player when motivated. 10.Keenan McCardell- Can't leave him off this list. Best route runner and fearless when going over the middle. Just missed: Searcy, Mathis, Meester, Stroud, Henderson, Campbell, Norwell, Linder. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'm curious as to how some have Linder over Norwell on the top 10? Norwell was first team all pro. He's clearly the best player on the O line to me.
Current top 10 (loosely in order):
1. Ramsey 2. Campbell 3. Bouye 4. Ngakoue 5. Telvin 6. Norwell 7. Linder 8. Malik 9. Jack 10. Dareus
These lists have me thinking about an all-time team...

1. Ramsey
2. Campbell 3. Ngakoue 4. Bouye 5. Telvin 6. Norwell 7. Malik 8. Blake 9. Linder 10. Jack For those who disagree with Blake being one of the top 10 players this man broke every franchise record, help this team win the AFC South and playoff games, and played at is best when the team really needed him. If anyone feel differently that's your right and I respect it. However, I'm going to say you're doing the same thing as we accusing the national media of which is undervaluing his place on this team. ![]() (06-06-2018, 06:50 AM)leopold332002 Wrote: 1. 1. Ramsey
2. Campbell 3. T. Smith 4. Bouye 5. Norwell 6. Jackson 7. Ngakoue 8. Linder 9. Jack 10. Gipson Close: Fournette, Parnell, Blake, Dareus

(06-06-2018, 05:23 AM)Jags02 Wrote: These lists have me thinking about an all-time team... Agree with the majority of this. As someone above said, I'd probably put Greg Jones ahead of Bohanon. Mike Peterson was really good. I know Poz was more of a liability in the passing game but he was such a good run stopper. Not sure you could go wrong with either but part of me wants to go with Poz. Ngakoue was great last year but I've gotta go with Brackens as clearly the guy. Just because he did it for much longer. Guy was a beast. Give Ngakoue a few more years and I'll change my mind. I'd love to find a way to put Rob Meier on the team. He would never start but he'd make a good rotation guy. Was so versatile. I'd also like to put Ben Coleman at guard somewhere if possible. Hopefully Norwell will be what we're paying him to be. Any love for Pete Mitchell out there? Always thought he was a good player that didn't get as many opportunities because there were too many weapons to throw to. May not be quite good enough to crack this lineup though. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. (06-06-2018, 05:23 AM)Jags02 Wrote: These lists have me thinking about an all-time team... That defense would be nasty with that line up. I like it. I would also add Rob Meier into the mix as another rotational player. That cat was underrated and filled in all over the line at one point. Only place where you and me are different is at TE and FB. I actually LOVE the idea of having Kyle Brady and Marcedes Lewis as a tandem. Well balanced at the position. They could do it all in during their careers. I would take Greg Jones at FB just because he was lead blocking during some great years and he could also fill in at HB in a pinch and was pretty versatile. The only other thing I would want to add is another receiver and running back on offense though. Taylor and MJD together for those two or three years was KILLER. It's too early for me to say Fournette. I know what we had before so it's hard to break up that tandem. And at WR I would want to plug in is Allen Robinson. Although he's moved on to Chicago. He has a lot of potential here in this scenario. With Jimmy and Keenan and commanding most of the focus from the secondary you would see Robinson lined up more in solo coverage where he could shine with his size and jump ball ability. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie?
