My thoughts on the game
|
I agree with op on just about everything. Tanner Lee is a meme and shouldn't make the team. Jacobs is a physical freak and with more reps and some coaching hopefully he could become our 3rd LB. DJ Chark looked like a kid on a mission. Moncrief looks good for us if he can stay healthy. Mickens will probably kick Greene off the roster. Some of our back-up linemen are getting our QB killed. The tackles were turnstyles.
No pain, no gain.

I am among the unwashed masses that are not huge fans of Tanner Lee, so I will take the dig about being in post season form with some pride. It takes hard work to be in post season form in preseason! ![]() ![]() Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
I would like to see what Grant could do in a regular season game with our starting Oline, and given a good share of touches. We only see him lined up behind the QB a few times per season, and mainly just with 2nd or 3rd string lineman blocking during a preseason game. Several times last night he could not find a hole and ran into a brick wall. It's hard to fully credit him with the limited gains, with subpar blocking.
The oline better get/stay healthy because there's a huge dropoff after the first 5. Wells let Bortles get drilled on the pass to Dede, Kessler had to scramble on almost every throw and Lee didn't have a chance.

I really hoped Richardson could step up to be a swing tackle in the short term because of how bad Wells played at times last season. Fingers crossed. If Cam goes down, its a scary situation at LT right now. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Given the high injury nature of the NFL, it's more about who's finishing the season, not who's starting it.
