Sounds like Marrone just leaving the biggest trash talkers at home for the joint practices with the vikes ![]()
so their punishment is less practice?

To the ultra competitive person, missing a chance to be just that in any scenario is a slight punishment. Knowing the way Jalen's father is I would imagine he has given his boy an earful as well. If so I know that would mean something to him for sure.
Fowler? I'm not so sure that any punishment will hit home for him. Seems maybe consequences for actions are something he might struggle to understand.

In Fowler's case I look it as they are sending the message to him to either put this behind him or you will be gone. I am sure TC/Caldwell/Marrone have already sat him down to talk to him. You can't come into your 2nd/3rd practice... hit a guy out of bounds, shove the starting QB, and fight with the guy ahead of you in your own position. Not only once, but to then start stuff up again after Marrone had brought the team together after the first fight. It's clear who was in the wrong, otherwise I am sure we would have seen Yannick get hit with a suspension. TC/Caldwell/Marrone have to weigh if he is worth having as a locker room problem throughout the season or can he just put this behind him and move on. If Fowler had been there from the start of camp and something just boiled over... then it's truly a non issue. He isn't tired from 2 weeks of practices and frustrated by going against the same guys everyday. This was an immature move on Fowler and the message is mature up... real quick.
For Fowler the suspension is yet another devaluation of his 2019 FA value.
That is indeed punishment. (08-14-2018, 01:35 AM)Senor Fantastico Wrote:(08-13-2018, 08:05 PM)hb1148 Wrote: Don't be so sure. Fornette was suspended for a regular season game. And we don't know all the details of what went on. I know what you mean but the difference is subtle enough that it was largely reported as a suspension. The point is he was being punished for violating a team rule.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

By not going out, he chose to distance himself from the situation. He wasn't there in order to not show respect, and he's acting entirely within the rules and guidelines set forth by the league. He has a right to choose how to spend that time. Period. And you have the right not to like it. Period. Let. It. Go.

That's a big no no to touch any red jerseys but the starter?? Dude is unhinged, I hope it doesn't cost us games!!!

What I'd like to know is how many of his sacks last year were flops to finish off the QB? (08-14-2018, 07:39 AM)Cleatwood Wrote:(08-14-2018, 07:24 AM)Section105Fan Wrote: I totally disagree. The subject matter might border on politics, but it's also about NFL rules. One the one hand, you have players violating team rules and league guidelines by showing up on the field and physically doing something during the singing of the anthem to publically disrespect the flag. On the other hand, you have players abiding by team rules and league guidelines by not showing up on the field at all. If you (not you, Cleatwood) don't see the difference here, I can't help you.

OK. True or false. Dante Fowler actually shoved QB Blake Bortles during his rage against the players who were chiding him for making a questionable, personal foul hit on O'Shaughnessy.
