He struggled against the Bolts last year.

He struggled against Myles Garrett last year.

He struggled late against Harrison in the AFCCG.

Aside from those three games he was solid.  He actually performed well against the Texans.  We've never been able to block those guys until Robinson got here.  Physically he has the tools.  Boselli has said he has some technique things he needs to clean up.  I think he can fix those issue.

I would add Chandler Jones from Arizona to that.

Yes, he struggled against Chandler Jones.

Even with that, the larger point remains.

He gives us quality at LT we haven't had in a long time.  I think he can clean up the technique issues so he won't struggle as much against elite pass rushers.

Cam Robinson is a 2nd year player who was playing next to a backup OG and across from a premier player.

If he stacks performances like that... then we can have a discussion about his future.
But last year against average DEs Cam was a beast.... so let the guy develop a bit, eh?

Derrick Morgan was the first to give him the welcome to the NFL moment abusing him repeatedly week 2. As the stat I said above, he allowed 3 or more pressures in 10 of his 15 games. The opposite of your statement would be more accurate.

You are right though, he did handle Clowney well. He'll always match up better with those big, win through the B gap players like Clowney. It's the rest of those DE that win around the edge that he's going to struggle with.

Yes. He's got to get his footwork more together to defend speed effectively.  Not there yet.

It would help a little, but Von Miller, Khalil Mack, Melvin Ingram, even Yan a fair bit...RT isn't much if any easier anymore. I think he should be Cann's replacement next year.

That would almost definitely mean we'd be spending our next first round pick on a LT. I'm gonna reserve judgement until I see how he does this season playing next to Norwell.

Cam will be just fine. He's coming along great. This is the LT position where everyone struggles at some point, and he's young.

Let him grow. I see him starting for the Jaguars at LT every year for the next decade.

Cam had a pretty ugly looking injury in week 7 vs the Colts. He had a string of ugly games the following month.
