Look at this video around 4:05.  Bortles throws the ball with 2 defenders right there.  One of the defenders is trailing the ball the whole way. Lucky it wasn't an easy pick its just that player couldn't make the play.

If Brady makes that throw is it stupid?

Whatever. It was a perfect throw that should've been caught.

Apples to oranges.  You are comparing the goat which has pin point accuracy to Bortles who is no where near as sharp.  It's not worth the risk when the team has the lead.

you're absurd. He fit the ball in the window and drilled him in the hands, that pick is on the receiver for bumbling it and popping the ball into the air to be picked, I can't find fault in anything THE BOAT did today.

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2

So it was a pinpoint throw in a tight window but because of who threw it it was stupid.

Ridiculous take!

Some people just can't stand the fact that Bortles played great today. Gotta try and find something to bash/blame him about each week, or they'll lose their mind.

Yea, he's the only player I was disappointed in despite his touchdown. He dropped a critical pass in the 2nd half. Right now, he's their number 3 receiver after Cole and Westbrook.

Kudos to coaching, they learned their lesson after last year. Play to put points on the board. I thought DJ Hayden had an excellent game as well.

I said Bortles played great today.  I gave him a game ball.  I just said he had one stupid throw. Blake was probably the biggest reason we won today. The patriots loaded the box and dared the Jaguars to beat them so Blake kept beating them.

But, you are wrong, it was not stupid, it was a perfectly thrown pass that we have longed to see from a Jacksonville quarterback for a loooong time. The placement, velocity, decision and execution by the QB was perfect, the WR screwed the pooch.

And you're still just as wrong as the first time you said it was a stupid throw.

And to think everyone was highly upset when we signed him.

STUDS -- Bortles, Cole, ASJ, Grant, Jack, Fowler, Westbrook, Bouye, Abry Jones, Nathaniel Hackett (calling a great game) we ran it enough to keep them honest but realized we weren't going to win the game running into an 8-9 man front.

DUDS -- Rookies, although Cooke had a nice day pinning them back with just one poor punt. Chark's fumble made the game feel a lot closer than it should have been. Bryan didn't really disrupt anything, needs to do a better job getting his hands up, we had some other players with bad plays like Ramsey gave up a TD, Norwell had a costly penalty but they played well for the most part.
No pain, no gain.

You could argue he should secure the ball better, but if you watch the replay the defender makes a play to knock that out and is no different to the earlier one by Flowers that Chark recovers.

That doesnt mean a whole lot to me, telvin got chewed out by Ramsey, and Jack got chewed out by Telvin. I think it's a good thing that our guys hold each other responsible and know where there teammates are supposed to be so well.
