Some folks actually want to see this on the board so here's a link to Vic's blog.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It’s great as per usual and I miss his time here before Oehser. Don’t always agree with him though
I am unashamed in my respect for Vic and his work.
It's very admirable that he is continuing to do the Q&A into retirement. He is very distrusting of Blake's ability, which sometimes bugs me, but then games like last week happen.
I respect Vic as a writer, his skill level is leaps and bounds above what the homepage has at its disposal now, but his delivery feels dated.
Also, he's as fallible as anyone else when it comes to football takes. He pounded the drum hard for Gene Smith and laughed off any criticism of the man. All the while he was driving the organization into the ground. He's an entertaining read but he, like most anyone else, needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Ask Vic is the same as BCC and PFT and any other blog.
None of them really know much more than anyone else... except in perhaps, historical knowledge for older guys, legal knowledge for lawyers with blogs...etc. It's a matter of preference. I enjoy John O sometimes.... I always enjoyed Ask Vic... maybe cuz I'm kind of a grumpy old guy who thinks he is always right too. We show less advertisements to registered users. Vic says Brady looked old the past 2 games. I remember he said the same thing about Farve when he played for the Packers. Farve went on the the Jets and then went to the Vikings and took them to the playoffs a couple times.
He has a crush on Rodgers.
Vic has his biases just like everyone else. You know what you'll get with him.

I may be in the minority here, but I didn't miss Vic when he left. Don't miss him know. Meh. Whatever.

I think we're on the same page. I looked up to Vic and his ability to evaluate coaches, players, and personnel. But his unwavering support of Gene Smith, coupled with his dismissal of differing opinions, really hurt my opinion of him. I was talking more about his skills purely as a writer. Vic was, and is, a consummate professional. I don't think I ever saw a spelling error in anything he wrote. That being said, his evaluation was just as fallible as most anyone else'. I liked the style that he had when he wrote, but some of his takes were downright comically bad.

I love his historical perspectives. Love it when he talks about days gone by.
